well, hello to anybody reading this !
i have been recording covers of songs (with my own twists and additions) out of sheer boredom or passion i enjoy/feel like showcase my voice/vocal range well that i thought would be cool to share considering this is a place i can have a technical music outlet in. some members of the forum have heard my singing in the past during my teen years (those discord calls are a fond memory haha) but i consider my voice to have changed to some degree. any comments, thoughts, suggestions are welcomed
it is admittedly challenging sometimes to gauge/is very fascinating how something sounds from a perspective that isn’t your own as far as singing wise.
{little background if you wish to read}i am 22 years old, non-binary, and have been singing since i was in the 5th grade. for a good chunk of my life/grade school i was just focused on being the best choral singer i could, whilst still always admiring & studying my fav vocalists (mariah carey, beyoncé, bruno mars to name a few). it was only up until 4-ish years ago after i was removed from choir (…long story !) that i started treating myself as a general singer/vocalist. i am purely self taught/reliant on natural ability and always aiming to improve myself, while appreciating the ground i’ve covered thus far. vocal wise i am 99.9% sure i’m a tenor (lol) and ig have a voice on the lighter/small weight side. for about 2 years now i have been divulging into writing, vocal production, & producing and actually plan becoming an artist & releasing an ep this year :-)
