Oh great, another one of those "look at me, I have a large range" singers. What a joke I think you're wrong. He's a professional opera singer who messes around in his spare time, basically. There's a lot of professional opera singers. It does not suddenly make someone's ridiculous and at times amusical use of vocal range something that cannot be criticised. Given how he's still pretty much a new name, and someone who was until not that long ago a student himself, I find your comment a bit silly. That being said - for the post creator - make sure to actually link the bolds and be careful with your formatting. Also I honestly do not think much of this range is countable regardless. If making demonstration videos of your own vocal range and random E6 and B0 with no musical context isn't range wanking then I don't know what is Just because that becomes very visible in a range planet thread, doesn't mean that that is all he does. In the opera it's quite the opposite. He has to stand there and sing very loud and very well, within a fairly small range. Mostly A2-E4 or something like that. Ivan Dorin is your man, he doesn't do anything else. Someone even doing a video like that as an opera singer alone is kind of saying plenty.

"People that make sounds", as Glenn Miller put it in his video with Peter Barber.

E6 is inhaled, he even visibly recoils back when producing it

Slightly off-topic, but here’s a chest B1 at the beginning that’s boldworthy to me. He also has some B4s, falsetto F#5s in the background, and a very sneaky Bb1 chest (listen very closely) at 1:30. Amazing cover btw! youtu.be/SVI2FaRzXN0?si=CRYI3MYQJdGrTNkC

Oh great, another one of those "look at me, I have a large range" singers. What a joke Yeah. With vocal range, more is often less. I don't like singers who show off and stretch their range to its limit.
