Looks like Winger is the newest band I've decided to notewatch the members of! John's studio discography as a vocalist is pretty small, so this one was easy to make. However, I can't seem to find anywhere online that you can stream his 2002 self-titled solo album, so for now I just had to make this thread based off of the samples of the songs from that that you can listen to on his website. Three of the songs are on YouTube, but until I can find the rest I guess this one will have to stay in WIP threads.

Would you guys say this is closer to G5 and G♯5? It's a pretty in betweeny note that I've been unsure about

I'm also a little iffy about his F♯2, for that matter. It's from one of the songs that I couldn't find a full version of online, so it's possible that there's a better version of the note elsewhere in the song or on the album, but for now what I have to work with is this clip from the album sampler on his website. The note in question is at 0:26 on "I think you know what I meAN". It definitely gets down to G2, but I think I hear it trail lower at the end of the note. However, is that worth counting for any lower than G2? I could use some more opinions on it as well.

Okay, here's an actual G♯5 by him! Definitely a piss-take note and not as good as his other highs, but I'd still count it.

Notewatching these The Making Of videos for a few different Winger albums was a good reminder that you can find some unexpected displays of range just in footage of band members goofing around in the studio. Aside from that, there are some F2s by Reb Beach earlier in this video, some B2s by Kip Winger, and in another video I found some highs up to F♯5 by John and F5 by Reb.
