Aaron Stone
Associated Acts: My Epic (2005–present)
Vocal Range: E♭2-D5 (2 octaves, 11 notes)
Vocal Type: Tenor Bowing His Head Lower, Still
{Vocal Summary}
For a worship leader, the task of leading a group of people to worship is the opportunity to lead others in a powerful expression of gratitude, jubilee, and even emotion. However in many cases with the music many criticize it for being one-note and cheesy. North Carolina resident, Aaron Stone of the post-rock/post-hardcore band My Epic thankfully avoids this cliche dude to his more poignant lyricism and his vulnerable tenor voice. Stone’s voice mostly sounds very evident in taking more influence from folk singers as his delivery is a bit airy and focuses on being emotional expressive than versatile in his voice hence his seemingly small singing range. Nevertheless, he still manages to put almost an esoteric outlook to his music as he takes the listener to analyze themselves as if he is doing a sermon or worship individually. His high range is very well textured with mostly being able to sing high without the use of falsetto or head voice while his lower range while not as low he still uses it enough when singing more introvertedly. While not the most versatile singer, Stone is still an expressive enough vocalist that makes many make an exception that worship can be deep and unique enough to be an art form.
