There are sub-boards in Singing General and Music Miscellany now. Polls about vocals, vocalists and vocal techniques in the former and polls about music and musicians in the latter, of course. I thought this would spice up the conversations we have on here a little bit, so why not see where this goes.
The way you make polls in ProBoards' Create Thread window isn't super obvious — here's how you make them:
In addition, I thought I'd remind people that all users have had the ability to make polls in Off-The-Wall ever since we made that board. Congrats, you now know how polls work, so with this newfound knowledge I encourage you to try this function out. If this idea takes off we'll surely keep it as part of our forum as well.
Any questions regarding polls I will gladly answer here. Okay, bye lol.
The way you make polls in ProBoards' Create Thread window isn't super obvious — here's how you make them:
{How to Make Polls}When you have the ability to make polls on a board, the function to add a poll will appear in the top right corner.
Once you click Add Poll, this window will appear in the centre of your screen:
Fairly self-explanatory, you specify what you're asking in Poll Question, you add the options to choose from in Poll Answers and you can add more answers by clicking 'add more'. You can make it a multi-choice answer by increasing the number of answers people can choose simultaneously, but I would suggest that you don't make the poll lock itself if you want to get more discussion on the topic in the future. Leaving the date empty and the lock time at 00:00 will make it an indefinite poll.
Once you're satisfied with your parametres, you click Add Poll at the bottom and the question along with the options will appear in your thread once you have posted it, as indicated by a line in the bottom left corner of the Create Thread window.
Your thread page will empty still and this is your opportunity to expand on why you're making this poll. Provide a reason why you would pick a certain option over the other ones etc.
You can also edit your poll at any time by clicking the Edit Poll button at the top right corner of the Create Thread window.
