With the dream-pop and slowcore music Cigarettes After Sex produces, Greg Gonzalez's androgynous voice fits perfectly into this genre with a smoky, haunting, and almost feminine touch, drawing similarities to Lana del Rey, Hope Sandoval, and Donna Missal. His close-mic'd vocals, highpassed and coated in reverb, often contain a sultry drawl as he sings about romance.

He tends to sing within his mid-range, and has pushed neither his lower nor his upper ranges often. However, with his deep and bassy natural speaking voice, it is shown that his lower register is actually very expansive. Throughout the years, Greg has solidified his name within this genre with his hazy and sentimental voice.

I'm hearing the G2 as a very subby (and non-countable, sadly) E2 personally. Also it's really interesting how if he used his range differently, his highs would also probably start a lot higher, given the androgynous nature of his voice as you noted

Now THAT"S what I call a range expansion! I think the only other publicly available songs are I Can See You (great E4s) and Spanish Prayers.

Also I think the falsetto on Our Last Day peaks at D5 and there's some chest E4-F#4s on I Can't Stop These Tears From Falling too. Otherwise looks great and I'll stop being annoying here lol

idk how I missed the F#4s lol. as for the D5s I thought it was a synth instrument at first but after relistening they do sound legit!
I was actually planning to add in some more material earlier (he has released songs under his own name and an EP with Daniele Luppi), but i hadn't come across those songs, so thanks :)
