{Vocal Summary:}Often considered to be the best boyband singer, JC Chasez is certainly one of the most versatile, with an impressive range and a wide variety of vocal styles. JC has a powerful, soulful voice that formed the backbone of the *NSYNC sound. He took the mid-range notes within the group’s accomplished five-part harmonies, but had most of the lead vocals, along with Justin Timberlake. With his solo work, he was able to employ a greater range to complement the diversification of the music; particularly of note are the falsetto, whoops and belts at the top end, and the harmonies from the second-octave in the lower range.

JC Chasez is an American singer, most famous as a lead vocalist in turn-of-the-millenium boyband *NSYNC. As a teenager, he joined the TV program Mickey Mouse Club, along with several other pre-fame singers and actors, including future bandmate Justin Timberlake. In 1995, he was recruited, along with Timberlake, to *NSYNC and quickly became established as one of the principal singers in the group. Over the course of seven years, *NSYNC were phenomenally successful, with more than 50 million record sales and five headline arena tours. Nonetheless, in 2002, the group took a more-or-less permanent hiatus. After the split, JC headed into the studio to record his solo album Schizophrenic; however, the album performed below expectations, and there has yet been no follow-up. JC continues to sing occasionally, amongst other endeavors, both as solo guest spots and rare *NSYNC reunions, most recently at Coachella 2019 with Ariana Grande.
