The Spice Girls' leading lady vocally, Melanie C (a.k.a. Sporty Spice) was the member of the group who never shied away from the lead parts of the songs. It's perhaps unsurprising, then, that of the Spice Girls, Melanie was the one with the most successful solo career following the group's somewhat messy disbanding. Her vocal talents are evident; with her sharp, distinctive timbre and effortlessness belting out notes in the fifth octave, it's almost surprising that her voice has remained as consistently terrific as it has, with her live performances even in the last few years proving her chops have barely suffered some 30 years on from her debut. Though she emerged as part of the Spice Girls, Melanie's the one you'd most likely mistake as rising to success on her own talents.
{A Few Examples of Her Voice}
Probably her best example of being the dominant leading vocalist on a Spice Girls song - belts and sustained head voices notes throughout when the other girls were relegated to harmonies.
A duet with Mel B, but one that showcases how dominant her upper register is.
A somewhat more restrained performance showing her middle and lower registers.

Questionable notes are any notes of questionable significance. In short, this spoiler acknowledges notes that I am aware exist, but do not want to contribute to the singer's range. These involve (but are not limited to) notes of questionable identity, notes of questionable legitimacy and notes of significantly poor quality.

Disclaimer: In the Spice Girls' harmonies, it was occasionally difficult to discern who was singing what. Mel B and Victoria often sang the lower notes whilst Emma and Mel C sang the higher ones, however this was not an absolute rule. To make it more complicated, the harmonies sung on the studio versions of the songs weren't necessarily the ones sung on live versions, there were some cases where one member was implied to be singing when they actually weren't, and there were times where one member was singing one of the harmony parts whilst also singing another part/ad-lib on top. I've listened to the group's albums and live performances several times and I think I have a pretty good knowledge of who sings which parts, but I am not infallible and appreciate any kinds of constructive criticism on these threads.
