{Summary}With eerie yet exuberant flows, Ol' Dirty Bastard truly had "no father to his style." His name told you what to generally expect from his profoundly crass lyrics, but his bizarre vocal delivery was what made him one of the most memorable emcees of Wu-Tang. He would sing-rap in a rugged baritone and often employ an aggressive vibrato. That is, when he wasn't screaming at you. His influence is still felt today, for instance I don't know if there would be a Young Thug if ODB had not paved the way for deranged melodic rap. Only difference is that we get to hear him without the invasive autotune that defines contemporary hip-hop.
