Adam West was a very famous actor for cinema and T.V. on worldwide known for starring in the 60s television series "Batman" as aforesaid character. He's also voice actor.
He was an icon of northamerican television at 60s despite he started his career even since previous decade. In 1959-1962 he became a regular on the American television series Robert Taylor's Detectives in its third season, at mid 60s he finally starred Batman.
After playing Batman for some years he had some issues for getting new roles on other movies in the same way as Burt Ward (who played Robin) mainly for the prominent way on which they were already identified and stereotyped, cause Adam usually played roles that were more or less of the same type. However, he continued to make multiple appearances in films and television series throughout his career virtually until his death, on June 9, 2017 in Los Angeles, aged 88.
