We've heard stories of singers losing their mojo as they got older, but who are some singers that hit a vocal peak at an older age? Let's say... forties at least. Maybe try avoid singers who started a career later in life, too easy.
An example I can think of is Ed Robertson of BNL. Steven Page was no doubt the Garfunkel to Robertson's Paul Simon, with his polished technique and incredibly unique voice. But when he quit in 2009, it was just Ed left as a vocalist, having to sing his and Steven's parts. And so, 40 year old Ed took to it like a fish to water. A good example is him singing "The Old Apartment", where he hits these Bb4s with better technique than even Page did.
