Yeah, so. I've written lots of songs. However, writing and recording are two different things. I've kind of dissuaded myself from going forward with anything more official on account of not really having much experience in music production. That said, you only improve by trying and Soundcloud is probably a nice, non-committal start where I can maybe get my bearings. As such, that's where I'll be trying for a bit.

I'm to understand, based on the assessments of other people, that my genre is singer-songwriter. I kind of hate that as a genre because all it really tells you in this day and age is that you're lyric-focused (which I am), leaving much of the sonic aspect kind of nebulous. I glean inspiration from early rock 'n' roll and standards, as happens to be my forte in TRP threadmaking. Shocker. Anyhow, this'll probably be where I put one-off songs that I don't feel are necessarily part of any bigger project, at least as it stands. If any one song on there at the moment is worth listening to, I'd say it's probably "Ambitions," which has endeared itself to me as possibly my favorite of my own lyrics:

I'll keep bumping this with more stuff and hopefully figuring some more things out along the way. Maybe. Who knows.
