This is video where we talk about outrageous vocal range videos, And where the line should be drawn. What I'm trying to say here is that what is the countable range in these videos: Adam Rupp:
I think the countable range is E♭1-F6. The high 1st octave notes may actually be chest. And i'm kinda skeptical about some of the notes cause they sound digitally altered to me (eg. A1 in Sold, G5 in Man of Constant Sorrow). Some of the higher notes have no musical context. And i think the dudes thresholds should be around C3 and E4. Bolds: C♯2 in "Adam Rupp of Home Free" B1 in "Adam Rupp Beatbox Solo" live 7/18/19 D5 in "Home Away from Home Free Episode 6" F♯5 in "Adam Rupp Loopstation Beatbox Solo" Layne Stein:
I think the countable range is B1(G1 during a live improv if note isn't actually inhaled)-C♯6 Since Layne is somewhat known for his inhales anything lower than B1 is practically an inhale. The E♭5-F5 in Attention is altered. I think his thresholds should C3 and E♭4 Bolds: G♯2 in "Bridge Over Troubled Water" D2 in "Evil Like Me" (No questioning here) Maybe the C♯2 in "BFF Song"
I'm only doing this for threadless singers. And also, not sure if this is allowed on the forum but we'll see. Edit: It is to note that these are outdated so they may have hit higher or lower countable notes since

I made a vocal range video for them + Kevin Olusola a little while back, and from my perspective, Adam's countable range is Eb1-D6 and Layne's is Bb1-Bb5.

Oh hey, I just got done fixing up a thread for one of these.
Literally none of the lows are countable except the spoken A2 from "Distortion" (very meh), the "Watch Me Feed" D2 (which we've debated extensively about...it's counted for now, but I'm still a little iffy about it), and the "Bitter Taste" notes (which actually bottom at G2 instead of C♯2 lol) Then for highs, it's relatively more accurate aside from being a semitone or two off with certain notes. But the B♭5 definitely does NOT exist, there's no countable A5 in the sustained G5 from "Land of the Free", and the "Just Before the Dawn" A5-G5 is actually a G♯5-G5. The "powerful falsetto A5" from "Tomorrow's King" is a pretty cool top note though.
Another one that I've fixed up:
Once again, at least the first six "low note" clips aren't countable. The only ones that are are the A2s from "She", the backing B2s from "That Hormone Thing", and the short B2 from "Ghost Dance". I'm not so sure about the "Burned" A2s in retrospect...I hear backing C♯3s and possibly some G♯2s, but they seem kinda suspicious, so I'll have to reexamine that one more thoroughly later. The highs section is actually pretty good in this one, or at least the discrepancies are more minor until the last few notes. However, the D6 from "into the Night" doesn't exist (this one actually had me fooled at first because your ears want to hear him trilling up from the B5 with the lower harmonies), the "crazy whistle notes topping at C♯7" in "Gone Too Far" top at an overtoney B5, and the "whistle C♯7" from "Lady Killer" is a C♯6 with overtones (though quite a good note).
And many, many more besides these...

What would you say are the countable ranges in these video?
The fried notes aren't really the highest notes for Thalia are brief whistle exclamations and for Gloria I'm not sure if here absolutely visceral screams are countable.

Her octave 7 notes are okay but they seem fairly random in relation to the key of the song. The first singer's notes have no tone until the B2 which is an okay note. The notes before that are just conversational fry. The second singer is at least trying to reach something, so I suppose it's a matter of opinion. Her G6 seems to be on key at least.
