Perhaps best known for her sexualised performances as the lead singer of Divinyls, the feisty Chrissy Amphlett was never one to shy away from the limelight. Co-writing songs like the provocative "I Touch Myself", she quickly became renowned for her on-stage persona - which consisted of Chrissy herself dressed as a schoolgirl while mimicking violence towards the audience. Despite the controversy, Chrissy became adored in her homeland Australia, where she is still seen today as an unapologetically unique frontwoman.
Chrissy's vocal approach mirrored her live performances. Described as both "unique" and "sexually charged", she was known for her voice's distinctive, gritty nature, exemplified by her potent, rough-around-the-edges fourth octave belts and her spontaneous brief jumps into head voice. She possessed a rather solid lower register which she used rather frequently, though Chrissy didn't focus on her vocal range as such, instead using her voice as a tool for delivering her bold, highly sexual lyrics.
{A Few Examples of Her Voice}
Great showcase of her vocal style as a whole.
Some of her lower singing throughout here.
A nice display of some of her higher singing.

Questionable notes are any notes of questionable significance. In short, this spoiler acknowledges notes that I am aware exist, but do not want to contribute to the singer's range. These involve (but are not limited to) notes of questionable identity, notes of questionable legitimacy and notes of significantly poor quality.
