Is the F#3 section really necessary? His low range doesn't seem especially strong, but I don't think it's Jon Anderson levels or anything.

So doing a quick check of songs here suggests that Billie literally did not go above F#4 in melodic chest notes with 2 exceptions— a "hey" in Homecoming and some harmonies in Whatsername that to my ears could be Dirnt— between Dookie and American Idiot. Before and afterwards he seemed totally capable of going up to A4, but that 10 year drought suggests that maybe F4 could be worth adding. But moreso it just shows how he never pushed his range for basically 5 albums in a row lol Also fwiw the Longview in Berlin 2012 goes up to C#5 in chest voice

The Longshot EPs (Bullets, Razor Baby, Return to Sender) have some really cool stuff. A Million Miles Away has some really strong G4s, Razor Baby has a very clear (and probably boldable) B2, and I'm 75% sure I Am Rock has a G2 (along with some pretty good C3s)

Very prominent usage of A#4 vocal fry on Green Day's latest single "Dillema". Might be worth noting even if it's not particularly impressive relative to his past performances.

I'm not sure if I hear a Bb4 in this, though some of those notes stray pretty close to it, I'd probably just count A4 for this song. Totally agree that these are some really good notes, though, maybe could be included as one of the examples of his higher register. Also, any updates on if the Longshot EPs are being added?

Yeah he was aiming for A4 pretty sure
He hits G4 on The Static Age after the key change, and I can confirm in Whatsername Mike is doing the harmonies so there doesn't seem to be G4

Just listened through the new Green Day record, it's their best work in a long time IMO! It has a few interesting bits, note-wise, too:
Singing A4 a few times on each chorus of "Bobby Sox".
Final chorus with key change in "Goodnight Adeline", he sings A4 quite a bit and B4 occasionally.
Backing vocal down to G♯2 in "Corvette Summer".

I notice the OP hasn't been active recently so i tried my best trying to notewatch this project (thanks to users above for finding notes too):
The American Dream Is Killing Me: G#4, F#4 Look Ma, No Brains!: F#4, G4 Bobby Sox: A4, G#4, E3, B2, C#5 One Eyed Bastard: A4, F#4 Dilemma: A4, D3 1981: F#4 Goodnight Adeline: A4, B4, G4, E3 as well (deserves bolds imo) Corvette Summer: Ab2 Suzie Chapstick: F3, G4 Strange Days Are Here to Stay: E3, F#4 Living in the '20s: Ab4, Bb4, C5 (bold-worthy?) Father to a Son: D3, E3, G4 Saviors: F#4 Fancy Sauce: F#4, G#4, A4, E3

I agree, i was so shocked when billie hit those notes. I'd put it 4th in my album ranking. Also some notewatching, correct if wrong :) The American Dream Is Killing Me: G#4, F#4, A#4 Look Ma, No Brains!: F#4, G4, A4Bobby Sox: A4 yeah, G#4, F#4, E3, B2, B4, C#5 (billie singing the ooh-oohs?) One Eyed Bastard: A4, F#4, G#4 Dilemma: F#4, G4, A4, D3, E3 1981: F#4 Goodnight Adeline: A4, B4 yes, F#4, G4, G#4, E3 as well (deserves bolds imo) Coma City: nothing notable Corvette Summer: Ab4, Gb4, Ab2 (great spot!), D#3, C#3, A#2Suzie Chapstick: F3, F4, G4Strange Days Are Here to Stay: E3, F#4 (G#4, A4 are mike i believe) Living in the '20s: Ab4, Bb4, C5 (bold-worthy?) Father to a Son: D3, E3 Saviors: F#4, G#4, A4 Fancy Sauce: F#4, G#4, A4, B4, C#5 I would bold the ending Bb4 on Living in the '20s rather than the relatively brief C5. Also here are a G#5 and Bb5 I found from live perfomances of Father of All...

At the least, the last chorus in "Goodnight Adeline" should get a bold.

Are we counting a C5 in Living in the 20s? It sounds like he's just shooting for Bb4 and being intentionally messy with the pitch. I'd put that C5 on the same level of questionability as a B4 in Dilemma. The Bb4 should 1000% get a bold though.
Also, Bobby Sox live has Billie Joe, Mike, and Jason all singing the "ooh-oohs", so it's probably safe to count it. If not, at least count live performances.

I think the C5 at 1:20 is def countable imo, although I didn't notice it until it was brought up here lol. The B4 on Dilemma seems much less intentional

I agree that C5 is absolutely countable.

youtu.be/L_8RXuQlcug?si=RBQjdv3JTKyBAY8j Japanese bonus track just dropped with some really solid B2s and a backing G#4 I believe. Not the best song but definitely a good showcase of his lower register and worth counting. Together with Corvette Summer, Razor Baby and I Am Rock, the next update to the thread could really fluff up his lower range catalog
