Bold marks particularly notable examples of this person's vocal capabilities.
One of the most heart-wrenchingly vulnerable singer-songwriters to rise to prominence in recent years, Julien Rose Baker has become known for her starkly honest portrayals of depression, faith, and substance abuse conveyed through her uniquely powerful voice. Her placement is that of a soprano, with a generally light tone that becomes weak and quiet when it drops too far down into the third octave. And though her highs don't tend to go as far up as many other sopranos, they have an immensely cathartic, chest-heavy sound that cuts right to the listener's bone.
