Hey, hi, wow, how are you? You might remember this feature from TRP3 which MrToddington hosted. This is basically that but we're gonna be playing around with the format for a bit to see what sticks best.
Mana no I do not remember this wtf are you on about?
- Ok, basically, you know what a book club is yeah? A group decides on a book, you fuck off and read it and come back to discuss it (I think, tbh I don't know either lol but let's roll with this)
-The twist here is we're gonna do that but with albums.
Yeah ok then bro but specifically how does this work
- So, once a week you (yeah, you) will submit an album as a suggestion for that week. Preferably, it should be from a genre, subgenre or whatever, that you don't have a particularly strong footing in. To be honest, it doesn't absolutely have to be, it's just a nice guideline to keep it interesting. Hell, I guess it can even just be an album from a band you don't like very much. Even a god like me has their blindspots.
- lol apparently I also have to make it explicit that YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE HEARD THE ALBUM BEFORE
- To vote for the album you wanna smash out that week, slap a like on the post which the user suggested it within.
- I'd use the poll function but I don't trust any of you.
- Or myself actually, I'd probs just double vote.
- You CAN'T vote for your own suggestion, obviously.
- Well like, I guess technically you can, we're just not gonna count it.
- I think we'll go with starting each week on a Sunday, which will be a Monday for me but a Sunday for pretty much everyone else.
Ok so then, what happens after one's chosen?
- The old version of this had people writing whole-ass dissertations and shit and while you can do that, you absolutely do not have to. I think it'd be less patience testing if the discussion was more free.
- Like, you can even share your thoughts as you are listening to it.
- You can respond to other peoples thoughts, etc.
How many times do I have to listen to it?
- As often as you want, I couldn't care less vro. For example, as I quite ravenously consume my media, I often only listen to a bulk of the albums I hear the once, but you are free to listen to it every hour on the hour for that week if you for some reason really, really wanted to do that.
Who is allowed to participate?
- YOU, I already called you out directly earlier.
Uhh, yeah, use this thread to ask questions if somehow this eloquently written post is not comprehensive enough.
