Not sure he'd ever warrant a thread, but Will Forte hits a great harmony C#5 here

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this but I'm suprised Charlie Puth dosen't have his own thread yet.

While notewatching Kevin Ayers, found out that Clare Torry (famed for providing vocals on Great Gig in the Sky) has put a compilation album out AND apparently contributed a ton of backing vocals for other artists. The second part deters me from fully committing to creating research for her but I might as well dump my (incomplete) research from the span of ~1.5 hours. {Clare Torry} Clare Torry (November 29, 1947) Vocal Range: G3 - B5Voice Type: Soprano to MeSignificant High NotesB5 ("That's What You Get", "Theme From Film "OCE"") A5 (" The Great Gig in the Sky", "Intro: British Caledonian", "That's What You Get", "Theme From Film "OCE"") G5 ("The Great Gig in the Sky", "Heaven in the Sky", "Love for Sale", "The Music Attracts Me") F5 ("I Know What I Like Best", "The Music Attracts Me") E5 ("Can't You Hear My Heartbeat", "I Always Seem to Wind Up Loving You", "It's All Over", "Love for Living", " My Boyfriend's Back") E♭5 ("Heaven in the Sky", " You Never Outrun Your Heart") D5 ("The Great Gig in the Sky", " Heaven in the Sky", "It's All Over", "Knock Knock Who's There", "Midnight Train") C♯5 ("Can't You Hear My Heartbeat", "I Always Seem to Wind Up Loving You", "My Boyfriend's Back") C5 ("I Know What I Like Best", "Knock Knock Who's There", "Love for Living", "Love for Sale", "Midnight Train", "One Way Street", "Well Done") Significant Low NotesB3 ("Can't You Hear My Heartbeat", "Carry On Singing My Song", "It's All Over", "Love For Living", "My Boyfriend's Back", "Well Done") B♭3 ("Love is Like a Butterfly", "One Way Street") A3 ("Carry On Singing My Song", "Heaven in the Sky", "I Always Seem to Wind Up Loving You", "Knock Knock Who's There", "Midnight Train", "Well Done") G♯3 ("It's All Over", "Love is Like a Butterfly") G3 (" Love for Sale", "One Way Street") {Notewatched Material} Heaven In The Sky (2006): G3 - B5
Her performance in The Great Gig in the Sky spans C4-A5. .................................................................. • Underlines mark backing vocals or notes obscured in the song's mix. • Boldface indicates outstanding performances.

I'm not sure how much singing Jim Carrey has done in his career, but I've noticed quite a wide range in just a few clips:
E2 ("Cold Dead Hand")
B5 and G♯5 ("Somebody to Love")
G♯5 ("I Am the Walrus")

I started notewatching "Senzawa" after the country roads video randomly popped in my youtube recommended and I found their voice interesting. However, I found out that they seemingly have a whole other persona (Gawr Gura) with like a bajillion more songs, and I don't feel like note watching all of them. So I'll dump this here free for the taking. The falsetto marks are probably wonky because I'm not used to female vocals so sorry about that. There's also still some livestream stuff not on here. I'm not sure how much singing Jim Carrey has done in his career, but I've noticed quite a wide range in just a few clips: E2 ("Cold Dead Hand") B5 and G♯5 ("Somebody to Love") G♯5 ("I Am the Walrus") He actually had a thread back on TRP2 with all of these notes included except for the "Somebody to Love" B5s (dunno why those were excluded). Meanwhile there were a lot of shitty non-musical "notes" counted that really should have never been considered for a range thread, but that was how we treated our standards back then. I also later found this sung D2 by him, though it never got added to the OP: So yeah, of the notes in that thread, I'd say D2-G♯5 is actually legitimate and countable, and the B5s that you pointed out seem deliberate and controlled enough as well. Would definitely be cool to see a more cleaned-up version of a thread for him, and D2-B5 is not too shabby at all for someone who's not primarily a singer!

Man, the red font really brings me back. Literally just the "Yeah this note is sh*t but I'm including it anyway because to me singing is just a dingaling-measuring contest of high and low notes" color. Now, I don't recall the orange font, but the idea that some notes are just beyond our comprehension of registers is hilarious. I just picture Jim's F♯5 being some eldritch note that drives people mad trying to figure out if it's mixed or falsetto. TRP2 was a magical place. Truly one of the forums of all time.

Surprised no one's done Kessler yet, haha. Daniel Kessler (September 25, 1974) Years Active: 1997 - Present Associated Acts: Interpol (1997 - Present) Voice Type: Wait, he sings? Vocal Range: G♯2 - E4{Vocal Summary}For a person with "backing vocals" listed on his Wikipedia page, you would think Kessler would have more than 2-3 songs worth of vocal material to notewatch. Sadly, no. It's one album track and two demo tracks, one being a demo of the album track. His voice sounds quite similar to Stephen Malkmus of Pavement, though. He has a nice voice, and I wish he used it more.
Significant High Notes:E4 ("PDA") E♭4 ("PDA") C♯4 (" PDA") Significant Low Notes:G3 ("Song Seven" Second Demo) F♯3 ("PDA" First Demo, "Song Seven" Second Demo) D3 ("Song Seven" Second Demo) G♯2 ("PDA" First Demo) ……………………………………………………………………. *Blue marks clear falsetto notes. *Green marks harsh/distorted notes. *Italics mark non-melodic notes. *Boldface marks notes that are considered impressive in relation to this person's vocal capabilities. *Underlines mark notes obscured in the mix of the song. *Dates on this thread are listed with the format DD/MM/YYYY.

I'm surprised none of the Gregory Brothers had a thread. I'm not to familiar to each of their voices but there's a backing E2 in Reality Hits You Hard Bro by one of them.

I'll make this into a full thread as Porter releases more vocal material, but for now this will live here. One question I have for y'all is how you guys would count his pitched up vocals in Nurture? I'm fairly certain they are pitched up by an octave (this seems to be confirmed by the end of "Something Comforting"), but I have them down as questionable right now since I don't see any confirmation anywhere of that, and it also would just feel kind of icky to fully count them. I only fully counted the instances where I could distinctly hear Porter's unpitched voice beneath it.

Some extra research I did during the Dan Andriano thread, lost interest part way through, regained interest later. Combed his solo stuff for lows but I don't think the highs are included. Considering this is the only person out of the three vocalists I just posted who is still currently active, this might be moved to a full thread if Eric does more as a vocalist in the future.
