May I please request a thread of this very powerful rock duo in Taiwan, aka Power Station (動力火車)? Someone has done a note-watching vid on YouTube, but I'm not sure if it's correct. Also, they're still very active and release albums fairly frequently, so this vid is already outdated. It seems like the highest note they've hit is a sustained, glass-shattering A6 by Yen Chih-lin (顏志琳) in the song " 梨山癡情花" Thank you and hope to see their thread soon! As they sing mostly in Chinese, please feel free to ping me if you need any linguistic assistance!

I might consider nabbing those two threads in the distant future lol. Only after committing to getting Zhang Yu-sheng's thread fully-redone (2023 project maybe?). Fwiw that stonker of a high note in the Lishan Flower song is actually a really distorted G5. Awesome, they do deserve to have their respective threads for sure. Both have killer vocals. But I'd be even more excited to see Zhang's fully-redone thread, nice :joyful: And that note in Lishan Flower might be a very distorted G5 indeed. I stand corrected. But in a recent interview they claimed to have hit an A6 before .

Nah just G5 with a lot of distortion on the mic, listen to the live performances and all his other notes in that range. Fwiw the range video is accurate except the very last note in the last ten seconds lol That heavy distortion has really thrown many ppl off. His timber also makes his notes sound higher than they actually are, as some of his fans have commented. But it's good that the vid is mostly accurate - you can just recycle it when you work on their threads. But the fact that they're a rock duo with equally impressive vocal ranges sometimes make it hard to tell who's hitting the money note, especially in the higher register.

Aryan Ashtiani (Mareux)Aryan Ashtiani , the man behind Mareux, has a very unique voice in my opinion. I would notewatch him if I still did this kind of thing. He goes very low in both these songs. If anyone wants to listen (or already likes him): how low does he go here? \/ The electronic robotizing effect that he uses makes it not too easy to always spot the octaves he is in, to my ears. His young, raw untrained low voice has a lot of potential IMO.

Hi! So I'm from Québec and here there is a legendary prog/folk band called Harmonium that became iconic in the 70's.
The main composer, guitarist and singer called Serge Fiori is a very cultural important and talented man, most notably he has an unique warm voice that is naturally low yet he can sing high notes with great ease.
He reportedly said he could sing almost 5 octaves because when he has to reach those falsetto notes, he just doesn't have a choice but to nail them, that's how he explained it.
I think it'd be a fascinating thing to dive into. Judging by how he looks, he kinda gives me the idea that not unlike Freddie Mercury, he's got a differently-shaped mouth that changes the tone of his voice.
