An incredibly prolific and versatile musician, Steve Winwood is as talented a songwriter as he is a singer. His eclectic repertoire, ranging from soul classics like "Gimme Some Lovin'" to new wave hits like "Higher Love", can be defined only by one consistent feature - Steve's immaculate voice. A quintessential tenor, Steve's voice shines in its upper register, with his belting confident (and soulful) in the upper fourth and lower fifth octaves. His lower register is less confident by comparison, less confident, though Steve's voice as a whole is an incredibly distinctive one, boasting both impressive agility and plenty of emotion.
{A Few Examples of His Voice}
The man got soul.
A complete contrast - some much softer singing from Steve here.

Questionable notes are any notes of questionable significance. In short, this spoiler acknowledges notes that I am aware exist, but do not want to contribute to the singer's range. These involve (but are not limited to) notes of questionable identity, notes of questionable legitimacy and notes of significantly poor quality.
