I remember getting completely dunked on in a voice chat or something when I suggested that was an E6 originally. I was told it was an E5 with overtones, but if there's more to debate about it then I'm fine with that.

I don't remember running into any live B♭2s from "Starfire". Lowest I've heard was the B2 in the thread, but I also wasn't very thorough with live performances for this one, so maybe it's still out there :shrug:

Actually against all odds, I did manage to retrace the B♭2! Turns out it's actually in the performance off Twilight Dementia, which was released in 2010 but recorded in 2009.

It's a pretty short anacrusis note, which is probably why it got excluded from his TRP3 range thread, but listening back it sounds solid and audible enough to me to be worth acknowledging. He also hits it again at 1:25.

Were you talking about the scream at the very beginning of the video? You didn't give a timestamp, so I can only assume that's what you were talking about.

If so, I hear that pretty clearly as an E5, and not even one of the more confusing cases of overtones that I've come across.

That's what everyone told me, so that's what I went with.

Fwiw, that performance definitely sounds more obviously like E5 than I remember the original one, the one off of Twilight Dementia, being. That said, I don't think I've heard that clip in literal years, so maybe I'm remembering it wrong. I've always sucked at hearing overtones, and I definitely did more back then, so I've always tended to defer to the majority consensus in cases like that.

Not sure why I have it labelled as [5] though, [4] would probably be more appropriate since it's the pitch that's being debated. It's a fine enough note I guess, so I'll go ahead and change that.

That's a great high note but what do you think about the rest of the performance? It's always been difficult for me to gauge zps ability now since I really don't like skid row.

If I slow the clip down to 0.25x speed then it's clearly a Bb2 that ends on a B2 on "AND", at around 0:48. It's an extremely brief semitone roll-up, though.
