B2: "Carolina IV"
F♯2/G♭2: "Carolina IV", "Remember Why"
D2: "Living for the Night"
These are mostly notes that cannot be clearly identified as Matos' voice or someone else, with the exception of the "Remember Why" F♯2, which is a short, barely audible F♯2. The "Carolina IV" notes may be Rafael Bittencourt and Kiko Loureiro, and the "Living for the Night" D2 is suspected to possibly be Pit Passarell, even though Matos is the only one credited for vocals on the album.

{Detailed bio}
Andre Matos is heavily regarded as one of Brazil's national treasures musically, and had an extensive career in which he gained widespread recognition for his incredible vocal abilities and extensive high range. He is best known for fronting the bands Angra, Shaman, and Viper at various points in his career, and before going off to pursue a solo career in the 2000s, and then getting involved in a number of other side projects and collaborations with other metal musicians in the years after. One of the trademarks of his vocal style was his seemingly limitless ability to intensely wail in the fifth octave, and powerfully sustain notes in the E5 range for almost 20 seconds. Though some may consider his tone as sounding somewhat strange and feminine at times, he truly sang with an impeccable sense of emotion and passion that did justice to his music in a way that few others could. In addition to his outstanding high range, as Matos' career went on, he began to make more use of his low range as well, which he gave a fair bit of representation to for a power metal tenor. Though he never sang lower than the mid second octave, he did quite a bit of singing in the lower third and upper second octave, and in some songs like "A New Moonlight" and "Fairy Tale" showcased both ends of his range and spanned up to three octaves.
Matos began his career at the very young age of 13, as a member of São Paulo-based power metal band Viper. He was originally a keyboardist first and foremost and had no intentions of serving as a frontman, but was coerced serving as the band's vocalist/keyboardist because he had "least poor vocals" of any of their members, and also because he "looked the most like Bruce Dickinson", which his bandmates saw as a marketable trait. He recorded and released his first demo tape with Viper in 1985, entitled The Killera Sword, but it is audible that on this release he was very much still figuring out how to sing and finding his voice, because the vocals on it sound rather shaky and very much stay in a safe zone range-wise (the absolute highest being some C♯5s in "The Whipper"). Two years later, though, Viper recorded their first studio album, 1987's Soldiers of Sunrise, which demonstrated some considerable improvement by Matos - now sounding much more confident in himself as a vocalist and having developed more high range (already singing entire melody lines on E5 in "Knights of Destruction"!). Despite this, however, Matos has claimed that he still "had no technique at all back then", and that he even temporarily blew out his voice during the recording of that album as a result of pushing himself past his limits too much. Yet even so, Matos only continued to further improve vocally in the next few years, and released his second album with Viper in 1989, entitled Theatre of Fate. On this album, he fully showcased the extent of his vocal abilities at the time, with lots of standout high notes like the ten second E5 from "A Cry from the Edge", the the climactic sustained G♯5 from "Moonlight" (a metal adaptation of Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" arranged by Matos), and the ascending melody singing to G5 in "Prelude to Agony", which at one point includes entire lines sung on F♯5! Theatre of Fate received international attention and began to bring Viper much more fame than any release of theirs had so far, which also resulted in several of the tracks from it becoming signature tunes for the band. However, despite this growing fame, Matos decided to part ways with them in 1991, as he was more interested in continuing in a melodic direction musically, whereas the rest of the band was interested in continuing in more of a thrash metal direction.
Following his departure from Viper, Matos went to Germany to complete a music degree, and then returned to Brazil in 1991, at which point he formed the band Angra with guitarists Rafael Bittencourt and André Linhares, bassist Luís Mariutti, and drummer Marcos Antunes. Linhares was soon replaced by Kiko Loureiro, with whom they recorded their first demo - 1993's Reaching Horizons. Later that year, they also released their first album, Angels Cry, which quickly gained success and brought international attention to the tracks "Carry On", "Angels Cry", and "Time". Matos' vocal performance on the album was particularly praised for his rendition of Kate Bush's "Wuthering Heights", which he sang quite faithfully in the original octave without even resorting to falsetto! Following the release of this album, Antunes was replaced by Ricardo Confessori, which created the band's earliest "classic lineup", and with which they recorded their next album - 1996's Holy Land. This album continued the band's success and featured the hit songs "Make Believe" and "Nothing to Say", which are still regularly performed by Angra to this day. During the subsequent international tour promoting the album, the band also recorded the live album Holy Live, which was released in 1997. Following this tour, Matos began to move away from the band, and became interested in pursuing other projects instead. However, he was convinced by an executive from Angra's record company to stay and continue recording another album with them. This culminated in the release of their 1998 album, Fireworks, which was also highly acclaimed and featured the hit songs "Lisbon" and "Metal Icarus". Matos continued to tour with Angra for the next two years, but in 2000 officially left the band, along with Mariutti and Confessori, and was replaced by Edu Falaschi.
Matos' next project after Angra was called Virgo, and was a one-off collaboration between him and guitarist/keyboardist Sascha Paeth, who had served as Angra's co-producer on Angels Cry and Holy Land. The two of them had begun writing music together during the sessions for Fireworks, and released an album titled Virgo in 2001, which featured a wide variety of different musical styles on its tracks. In the meantime, Matos also continued to work with Luís Mariutti and Ricardo Confessori, and formed the band Shaman with them in 2000, which also featured Hugo Mariutti, Luís' brother, on guitar. They released their first album, Ritual, in 2002, which featured a mix of power metal and symphonic metal, and gained acclaim for the songs "Fairy Tale", "Distant Thunder", and "Pride" (which featured Tobias Sammet on co-lead vocals). The band then embarked on a tour to promote this album, during which they recorded the live album/DVD RituAlive, which was released in 2003, and featured various guest musicians such as Sammet, Paeth, Andi Deris, and Michael Weikath. Following this, the band released their second studio album, entitled Reason, in 2005, which saw Matos making more use of his lower range on songs like "Turn Away", "More" (a Sisters of Mercy cover), and "Innocence", in addition to his usual higher singing. Following this, however, Confessori fired Matos and the Mariutti brothers from the band, which then went on hiatus for the next year.
After this, Matos decided to take a break from playing in bands and instead pursue a solo career, and focus on having full creative control of the music he was making. He once again hired the Mariutti brothers to serve as some of his backing musicians for this, and released his first solo album in 2007, entitled Time to Be Free. This featured an extended and rewritten version of the old Viper song "Moonlight" under the title "A New Moonlight", as well as the hit songs "Letting Go" and "Remember Why". He continued for the next few years making his solo career his primary focus, releasing two more albums - Mentalize in 2009 and The Turn of the Lights in 2012. In the meantime, he also became a part of the supergroup Symfonia in 2010, which also featured Timo Tolkki and Jari Kainulainen from Stratovarius, Mikko Härkin from Sonata Arctica, and Uli Kusch from Gamma Ray and Helloween. They released their first album In Paradisum in 2011, but the band came to an abrupt end later that year when Tolkki declared that he was retiring from the music industry.
Though The Turn of the Lights ultimately served as Matos' final release as a full-length album, he continued to be very active in the years after that between touring as a solo artist and getting involved in an extensive number of guest collaborations. Most particularly, he developed a close friendship with Tobias Sammet over the years, and became a regular feature on albums by Sammet's metal opera project Avantasia, such as The Metal Opera Part I (2001) and Part II (2002), The Wicked Symphony (2010), and the live album The Flying Opera (2011). He continued to serve as an off-and-on touring member of Avantasia for the rest of his career. In addition to this, Matos' later years saw a reunion between him and two of his former bands - the first being Viper, whom he reunited with in 2012 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Soldiers of Sunrise. He continued touring and performing with them for the next four years, and then left the band for a second time in 2016. Following this, Matos, also reunited with Shaman in 2018, which served as a 17 year anniversary celebration, and embarked on a tour with them. He continued touring and performing with both Shaman and Avantasia for the next year, but then suffered an unexpected fatal heart attack in June 2019 at the age of 47. His loss was heavily mourned across the metal community, and many of his former bands did memorial tributes in his honor. Since then, however, there have still been three recordings that Matos had been involved in prior to his death that have seen posthumous releases - the first being a re-recorded version of the Viper song "The Spreading Soul" released by the band in 2020 under the title "The Spreading Soul Forever". The others were guest appearances - one by the band Eight on the song "Life Goes On", and the other by the band Dune Hill on the song "The Mirror", both released in 2020 as well. On top of that, there are currently plans for the release of a documentary about Matos' life and career in 2021, entitled Andre Matos - Maestro of Rock, so there is no doubt that in spite of his loss, his musical legacy will continue to live on for a long time.

{Vocal range video}
Here's the range video for him I made for him back in 2012. It's definitely a bit dated at this point (still contains some notes that were considered significant on TRP2, and is missing some good upper fourth/lower fifth octave highs and lower third octave lows), but still has a good display of some strong vocal highlights by him for anyone unfamiliar with his singing.
