Sooooo, I'm starting to reconsider these growl-ish notes he does here and there occasionally. - I was listening to Ritual, link, on the phrase: "Unhallowed be thy name", I'd say that E2 is chesty enough to be worth including (?) - Enter Sandman, after hearing couple of recent lives I'm 100% sure it's him doing this spoken passage, link, there's an A1 (lol), which, I won't give an opinion on, I'll leave that to you guys. However, there's also plenty of D2s that might be supported enough to be included. - Con Clavi Con Dio, link, right channel, there might be a brief D2, however, this is one of the passages i'm the least sure of. - Crucified has got some super super airy notes during the verses, but there's couple of E2s that might be worth of including. Here: link and here: link. Thanks a lot for any feedback.

- I was listening to Ritual, link, on the phrase: "Unhallowed be thy name", I'd say that E2 is chesty enough to be worth including (?) Well that definitely reaches E2 quite a few times, but sounds very likely pitch-shifted to me. Unless it's just an effect or something, but at the very least it strikes me as pretty unnatural-sounding. - Enter Sandman, after hearing couple of recent lives I'm 100% sure it's him doing this spoken passage, link, there's an A1 (lol), which, I won't give an opinion on, I'll leave that to you guys. However, there's also plenty of D2s that might be supported enough to be included. Same case here - lots of strong D2s that definitely sound good, but I'm having a hard time buying that as his natural voice. Sounds quite plausibly pitch-shifted to me. I don't hear any A1 either for that matter, so unless you can point out where that is for me I think we can rule that note out. - Con Clavi Con Dio, link, right channel, there might be a brief D2, however, this is one of the passages i'm the least sure of. The link didn't work for me with this passage, but going by the timestamp in it, I'm guessing you're talking about this passage? This one I can at least say is clearly not pitch-shifted, but I'm not hearing anything below A2 in it. - Crucified has got some super super airy notes during the verses, but there's couple of E2s that might be worth of including. Here: link and here: link. I'm hearing that first section bottom at G2, and lots of F♯2s in the second. However, as far as I can tell, any points where it would get down to E2 always end up being pure whisper. If you can point out any specific timestamps/words where you're hearing non-whisper E2s, I'll double-check them, but that's my assessment thus far.

First of all, thank you for taking the time to go through all the notes! Regarding the supposed pitch-shifting, I see your point, however, I should have gave you a bit of a background about the guy, 'cause I understand if you hear his regular singing technique he uses on pretty much all of the Ghost stuff you'll probably think: What the hell is this? lol Tobias has actually got quite the black metal background, he's not new to this sort of growlish (?) I'd say, style. As a reference, this show was played the same year Ghost's first album came out: link / here you can here Repugnant only solo album, just a snippet from one of the songs to give you an idea: linkGoing back to Ghost, here are some live performances of the same passages, Ritual: link, link, link, I mean you could definitely hear there's also some sort of pre-recorded background voice, but I would say he's also singing along pretty much on a similar pitch. Point here being not the focus on him actually being able to go down to the same pitch on the record during live performances, but the actual singing style of his voice, which I'd say, is quite similar to the studio version. Hence why, I don't think it's pitch shifted. Enter Sandman: link, yeah, he's singing way higher than the original studio version, however, right at the end of the section you can hear how he's kinda falling into that similar register we discussed above. The supposed A1 was on the line: Now I lay me down to sleep. Even if it was an A I don't think I would count it tbh. On Crucified you've kind of opened my eyes lol, always struggled to identify the actual pitch but now yeah, i can mostly hear Gs and Fsharps. Last but not least, Con Clavi Con Dio, listening back I have no idea where I heard that D looool, you're right lowest I hear is an A. Again, thanks for your help mate. <3

I'd say the lows should stop at D3 and the highs should begin at F♯4 (he has a good chunk of notes in that area and the two bolds I've heard sound pretty "high" for him). So I'd be fine with eliminating the E♭3, E3, and F4 sections.
I think the reason why OP started his highs at F4 was because 90% of Ghost's songs are played a whole step lower from standard with the occasional C-tuned song here and there ("Mummy Dust", "See the Light", "Griftwood") and "Ghuleh/Zombie Queen" which is played in E. Plus, a majority of the songs on the first two albums primarily stop at F4 lead-vocal wise (not including the backing vocal harmonies)
Point being, if the songs were played in just the regular old E standard tuning, having the LN/HN threshold stop at E3 for lows and begin at F♯4 or G4 for highs would make sense. I hope that answers why the thresholds look further apart.

What Batfleck said is 100% accurate, however, I do agree with both of you guys, at this point he has changed his style of singing so much that having the thresholds set at E3/F4 seems redundant. I'll get rid of those later on in the day, also is any of you guys willing to help on some dubious notes, both from the new album and on some of the older stuff too? I could really use a second pair of ears! Edit: Hennessy Macklemore III , I will come back to you with more slides from different performances of "Enter Sandman", we might find something that sounds better than that one! Kreuger , yes! G2's in the lead.

I'd say the D2 in "Darkness at the Heart of My Love" is most likely Tobias given that no one else is credited for vocals on this album and it kinda sounds like his tone. Well, there's a female choir on this song, but it's definitely not them lol.
Then again, it's mainly Tobias and the Nameless Ghouls that are credited on this album, so it's hard to know if any of the "nameless ghouls" contribute anything to the recording process. The only other musicians that are credited are Fredrik Åkesson from Opeth handling some of the guitar duties, Hux Nettermalm on drums, and Martin Hederos proving keyboards, according to Wikipedia.
I dunno, that's just my $0.02 based on what I heard and the research of who played on the new album.

The supposed F5 is in the fade out part right at the end, I think I can hear a voice in the background just improvising some high pitched vocals: Watcher In the Sky, the actual note is at 4:42 but I suggest you listen from when the timestamp starts in order to have a bit of context. The D2 in Hunter's Moon is supposed to be in the first verse every time the lead hits a D3, however i'm quite confident it's either not there or just a whisper: linkSame applies to Twenties, either here: link or here: link, I'm gonna be honest tho, I think they have an unnatural quality to it. Regarding Darkness at the Heart of my Love, that was my mistake, I should have used a [4], I'm in fact not sure about the actual pitch: linkHennessy Macklemore III , Enter Sandman slides: - Some A4s: Milwaukee - link, Cincinnati - link - Some higher: Phoenix - link, Anaheim - link, Sugar Land: linkEDIT: I just changed it Kreuger , that was my bad I'm sorry. EDIT2: If you guys keep listening to Watcher In the Sky's fade out, you might hear a possible G5 at around 5:12, unless is an illusion.

Ah yeah, I was surprised why you put it as a [2], given that it sounds like Tobias. Listening back to that note in question, I'd say it's best to keep it in the questionable notes section given that it sounds "unusual", so to speak.
Also, I think those higher background harmonies towards the end of "Watcher in the Sky" is most likely a synthesizer but I don't know. I don't think that's his voice or a voice either.

The D2 sounds okay albeit kinda gravely, but I understand if you want to keep it in the questionable notes section. As for the D5, I dunno, I'll have to listen to it a bit more carefully to see if it's a falsetto or a black note. I have no problem labeling the F5 as a black note. Also, some of the links are dead (mostly from the Ghost - Topic channel, which for whatever reason keeps deleting and re-appearing), so I went back and found the missing links: - The A4 in "Spirit" - The D3s in "Stand By Him" - The A2s in "Bible" - The A2 in "Satan Prayer" - The E2s in "Deus in Absentia" Also, the C3s in "Pro Memoria" seem pretty boldworthy in my opinion.
