He was actually a tenor, not a soprano. Yes i was being 100 percent serious when i said that and why did you quote the entire thread there was no need to do that lol and my dude robot the man is a alto

Might catch some shit for this, but yeah, I feel like he's naturally a baritone. Really strained high chest notes, mostly falsetto and head voice in his upper register, deep lows/speaking voice. He could definitely hit highs like a soprano but it's clearly not his natural placement. Then again a singer such as Geoff Tate is a baritone and his upper register is like HOLY SHIT but that's another discussion, if anyone cares.

He is actually a tenor, not a soprano. He is clearly a baritone imo. I mean yes he could sing ridiculously high(mostly Falsetto and screams) but he really had always to scream to reach higher chest notes and they always sounded a bit strained.

Prince’s Dirty Mind vocal range should be C3 - A5 - D6, not C#3 - A5 - D6.

You should add 1999 Super Deluxe Edition and Sign O' The Times Super Deluxe Edition vocal ranges in your post, Baronessa.

After you add 1999 Super Deluxe and Sign O' The Times Super Deluxe vocal ranges, then you should add Purple Rain Deluxe vocal range as you keep the notes from the Expanded version of Purple Rain Deluxe on your thread, Barnessa. and you should add questionable notes to these vocal ranges from all albums, Barnessa. Please update.

What is his actual/natural voice type? Baritone, no possible debate, please look above for the arguments. There are no plausible counterarguments.

Wow, this thread is incredible. I just wanted to say, I think the G#7 in Temptation is countable. It isn't the most fantastic whistle note in the world, but it is relatively strong when he does finally hit the big note, and it sounds to me like the shakiness, altho I wasn't entirely sure it was that shaky it sounded strong to me just not great sounding haha, but the shakiness that is possibly there was a stylistic choice due to the nature of the song, basically simulating an orgasm, and every note he hits is accurately on the beat of the drum, so it sounds like the stopping and starting which may have added to the possibly shaky sound was a musical choice to hit on every beat at the same time as the loud drum bangs. Either way, this is an amazing thread!! Just thought I would share my thoughts on one of the notes

There are many reasons counting that is a bad idea, I shall illuminate three.
Firstly, the quality of the note doesn't measure up to the standards that have been set in the thread, as well as the site as a whole.
Second, the counting of this note opens the door for similar bad quality notes to be counted on this thread and other threads. This would be effectively undoing the standards that have been built up to this point.
Lastly, counting bad notes is bad for the soul. This may not seem important, but it's the most important thing I've said.

Lol, I just thought it worth at least another listen to see, but if it really is that bad compared to everything else then that's fine. That last point really resonated with me by the way, thank you for showing me the light. lol

In Raspberry Beret there’s G4’s at 2:30. And I believe an F#4 at 2:44, although it could be a G4. youtu.be/owJ8QR_qWRw

The "G#7" in "Temptation" is really an F#! I suspected as much just going from my ears, but a frequency analysis I did with some old software confirmed it.
