Guns N' Roses: 1. Appetite for Destruction2. Use Your Illusion I3. Chinese Democracy4. Use Your Illusion II5. G N' R Lies6. The Spaghetti Incident? Yo I was just coming here to do my listing for them! Here's what I got:
Guns n' Roses: - Use Your Illusion II
- Use Your Illusion I
- Appetite for Destruction
- Chinese Democracy
- The Spaghetti Incident?
- Lies
It's a close call between the two Use Your Illusions for me, but lately I've found myself more partial towards II because I really love how experimental they got on that one with some of the instruments and arrangements that they used for it, especially with the hard rock + jazzy/honky tonk style piano that they incorporated into numerous songs. Appetite for Destruction is a classic and all, but I've always thought of it as a very par for the course Guns n' Roses album, whereas the Use Your Illusions are full of surprises with genre crossovers/artistic choices that you wouldn't expect from them.

Gamma Ray:
1. Land Of The Free 2. Heading For Tomorrow 3. Sigh No More (underrated album in my opinion, probably my favourite Gamma Ray one) 4. Somewhere Out In Space 5. Powerplant
1. One With The World (my favourite Gamma Ray's track, beautiful choruses) 2. Heading For Tomorrow 3. Abyss Of The Void 4. Land Of The Free 5. Valley Of The Kings
All first 6 albums (up to Powerplant) are really close so I decided to give an higher position for the ones I enjoyed the most

Ghost: 1. Meliora 2. Opus Eponymous 3. Impera 4. Infestissumam 5. Prequelle Finally got around to listening to Impera last night so I can now give my ranking on this one.
Ghost:
- Prequelle
- Meliora
- Impera
- Opus Eponymous
- Infestissumam
ngl I'm kinda shocked to see Prequelle at the bottom of your list. That was a damn near perfect album in my book; dunno if they'll ever put out anything that tops it for me.

I mean to each their own. I respect your opinion, but for me I find Prequelle to be overrated. Not a bad album by any means as it has some killer tunes (e.g. "Dance Macabre", "Miasma", "Life Eternal", and my personal favorite "Faith"), but on the other hand it loses steam towards the second half a la "Witch Image" and "Helvestesfonster". Oh and "See the Light" is my least favorite Ghost song lol. If I had to give it a rating from 1 to 10, Prequelle would be a 7.

Updated Coheed and Cambria ranking now that I've listened to the newest album and revisited their discography:
1. Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV 2: The Afterman: Descension 3: In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 4: A Window on the Waking Mind 5: No World for Tomorrow 6: The Unheavenly Creatures 7: The Afterman: Ascension 8: The Color Before the Sun 9: The Second Stage Turbine Blade 10: Year of the Black Rainbow
New album is real good, Descension continues to be *far* better than Ascension, don't @ me.

Sonata Arctica albums
S Tier I love 'em, but they've never done an S tier album imo.
A Tier 1. Silence (only real criticisms would be the track order/structure gets a bit random in places, and "Tallulah" is a pretty weak ballad. One of the best power metal albums of all-time.) 2. Ecliptica (Pretty much tied with Silence, but slightly less adventurous. Another power metal staple.)
B Tier 3. Winterheart's Guild (There are some filler songs, but even the filler is still fairly good, and the highlights are lit. "The Misery" is their best soppy ballad) 4. Reckoning Night (This is the album where they really started experiment outside of just power metal and ballads, and did so fairly well. But there were some misses)
C Tier 5. The Days of Grays (It's ok overall. The singles were pretty good, and there are a couple other solid songs. There is filler, but I'll give them that their experiments feel cohesive here, and it's a notable improvement over "Unia".) 6. Pariah's Child (This is their most hit-and-miss work. A lot of filler songs, but "Larger Than Life" is one of the best things they've ever done, and proof that their genre experiments could be as good as their classic sound) 7. The Ninth Hour - (Similar feelings to "Pariah's Child". There are good moments, but also a lot of meh. It's probably a more cohesive listen than PC, and it's aesthetically kinda nice, but the highlights aren't as high.)
D Tier 8. Unia (There's a lot of filler, the experimentation into other styles is unfocused, and the highlights are not stellar. "Paid in Full" is probably the best song, and that's a disappointing) 9. Stones Grow Her Name (This was the album where I noticed a drastic shift towards SA becoming Queen as arranged by a youth pastor with 7-string guitars.) 10. Talviyö (Sonata Arctica at their most forgettable and bland. Creatively kinda spent, and I whilst can appreciate Tony having to tone down the high singing, I don't feel like he's replaced that well enough with his other attributes. My hopes are not that high for this band right now)
E/F Tier None so far. Please keep it that way.

The Pre-Beatles UK pop scene artist list:
1. John Leyton - first single out in 1960, mostly western/old time balladeer. Still a good rocker, too. Best songs: "Johnny Remember Me", "Down The River Nile", "That's The Way It Is". In the early '63 the Beatles were an opening act for him. Had a #1 UK hit, as well as #2 followed right by. 2. Shane Fenton (& the Fentones) - first single out in 1961, unique pop sound of high pitched twangy surf guitars, vocal hiccups and sensitive lyric. Despite the nature of the tracks being more rock oriented, he performed those like they were ballads. Quite a standout. Later reborn as Alvin Stardust in the 70s. Had a top 20 semi-hit in '62. 3. Cliff Richard (& the Shadows) - first single out in 1958, by all accounts the most successful solo cat before the Beatlemania and up to this moment. Unlike most others in the list, actually made a name for himself and quite popular still. Had tons of #1 hits, still touring. 4. Adam Faith - first single out in 1959, a manufactured teen idol, couldn't sing properly or move on stage but looked good despite being dangerously short on the brink of others not buying it. Had a few hits in the UK. 5. Helen Shapiro - first single out in 1961, first four singles were either #2 or #1 in the UK chart. Voted the best Britain's female singer at the age of 15. Only rivaled by Richard, she's been on the top for a while. 6. The Tornados - first single out in 1961, one of the best instrumental groups of the 60s. Rhythm guitarist, George Bellamy, is the father of Matt Bellamy from Muse. The first UK band to score #1 hit in both UK & USA. More than a year before the Beatles. 7. Ricky Valance - first single out in 1960, the single that became #1 in the UK. A singer with quite a voice, relatively deep but high, quite refined. Very soft and mellow in nature. Showcased in almost all of his songs. Similar to Fenton's plus depth. 8. Billy Fury - first single out in 1959, now that's a big one. Although he wasn't that big in the charts but he was idolized by the simple folk. Lots of cinema involvement, all kinds of music styles and genres bent at will. Quite a figure, often compared to Elvis. Way more often than Cliff. 9. Michael Cox - first single out in 1959, after winning the audition at the pop show he was quickly signed to a label and off for good, but not for long. Had a few nice songs here and there, worth a listen. The one #1 hit in the charts included. 10. Mike Berry - first single out in 1960, the lowest voice of all the listing. From the very young age he had a pretty resonant mid-to-low voice, nothing fancy but quite unusual for the era. I recommend you to listen to his song "Loneliness", not even one of his hit compositions but a great song and display of his vox.

Oingo Boingo:- Boingo
- Dead Man's Party
- BOI-NGO
- So-Lo
- Dark at the End of the Tunnel
- Good for Your Soul
- Nothing to Fear
- Only a Lad
If Boingo Alive counted as a studio album of theirs, that would probably be #2 though. And Farewell is probably somewhere in my top 10 live albums of all time.
What is this dude lmao Anyway, I sort of have an inverse of that: Oingo Boingo: 1. Good for Your Soul2. Only a Lad3. Dead Man's Party4. Nothing to Fear5. So-Lo6. Boi-Ngo7. Dark at the End of the Tunnel8. BoingoAdmittedly I would want to rank Boingo higher, but so far it's not something I've ever revisited all that much. It does have a much stronger flow and a better idea than at least the three albums above it, but last time I heard it I thought the songs just rambled on so much that I couldn't keep my attention on the music.

Huh wow, yeah I can't relate to that ranking at ALL. Boingo is an absolute masterpiece album in my eyes; easily one of my top 10 albums of all time. There's almost nothing that I would change about that album - the only thing I can think of is that "Pedestrian Wolves" should've ended somewhere around the 6:52 mark (or at least started to wrap up somewhere in the aftermath of that), cause that song definitely does drag out a bit and the number of chorus repeats start to get a bit exhausting. But other than that, legitimately a 10/10 album for me. Meanwhile Only a Lad is easily their worst album for me; when I first tried listening to their discography chronologically, I remember having a hard time getting into them at first because of that album. Elfman was definitely still finding his voice on that one and wasn't always doing as much to sing melodically as he did later on - lots of random screaming and shouting parts that I don't really enjoy as much. On top of that, I feel like they were trying a bit too hard for my taste to be as weird and out there as possible on the first three albums (ESPECIALLY on this one), and it just came off rather contrived at times for me. I think the later albums strike a good balance of organic weird paired with more accessible music overall. I find it interesting that you rank Good for Your Soul as your #1 too, cause I remember years back when Zedd Squared listened to their discography for the first time he also had that as his top choice, whereas I never really sized it up as one that anybody would consider a masterpiece album of theirs. To me it's more of a turning point album connecting the weirdness of the first few albums where they were still finding their sound, to the mid '80s albums where they really began to hit their stride. There are definitely some really good songs on that one ("Dead or Alive" is probably my favorite, "Who Do You Want to Be", "No Spill Blood", and "Sweat" are also strong tracks), but to me they're more foreshadowing of what was later to come in the band's career than the pinnacle of it already. In other words, I see their evolution as the first three albums being their starting point of whacked out weirdness with some potential, So-Lo through BOI-NGO as the albums where they really found their signature sound and were working that to its full potential, Dark at the End of the Tunnel being a bit of a step backwards where some of their songwriting kinda lost direction even though all the good components of their sound were still there, and then Boingo being the final redemption masterpiece that perfectly combined their sound with Elfman's cinematic compositional genius - truly making it a one-of-a-kind album that the world has never heard the likes of since.
