{Vocal Summary}Known mostly for his time in Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver Scott Weiland has been known as a vocal chameleon and can adapt to any style. When He first started out on Stone Temple Pilots early records he implemented a Unique own style to his voice similar to Eddie Vedder of Pearl jam. He Shown Capable ability of belting up to A4 and even B4 on occasion with making use of his low range often down to the lower second octave. His Voice took a switch on their 4th Record Atlanta where while still having his baritone style, his voice became much more lighter and punky. Some standout Tracks from this era are "Days Of The Week", "Atlanta", and "Transmission From A Lonely Room". He kept this style all the way to Velvet Revolver where he started implementing screaming but mostly left it to background vocals. He used great use of his upper register and often falsetto at times which he also used regularly during this era. His lower register became more prominent in the lower 3rd octave often leaving second octave notes to background vocals but still occasionally dipped in the upper second octave. After his time with Velvet Revolver He returned to Stone Temple Pilots To record their self titled album but sadly it would be his last album with them. After he worked with Art Of Anarchy where he dabbled into Metalcore but didn't do too much screaming and focused on more melodic efforts. His Solo efforts were also successful as for his first record he was experimenting with different sounds and made great use of his voice. For later efforts he often belted around A4 and ;leaving the higher harmonies as falsetto but occasionally belted to B4. His last effort showed him implementing an old school rock style which landed as he did lengthy belts to A4 and deep soothing lows down to B2 and even a backing F2. Shortly after, Scott died of an overdose. His Voice and style has inspired many artists like Chester Bennington, Billy Corgan, and Lzzy Hale.
