Definitely. Don't listen to the main section! :) Also, how does everyone feel about the buried Eb6?

I'm pretty certain the Whistle following the guitar effect is Freddie. It has the distinct "wwwoooooOOOOOOOoooww" sound to it, and is thinner than Brian's guitar effect.

Freddie's 6th octave is so very elusive with all the poor quality recordings of it. Still, I'd count this

I dont know why and as much I admire him.. I always thought these note from several Live Performances of "Get Down make Love" are extremely.. Odd? I myself find it a bit odd that he mostly chose to do these notes during GDML (live)

that G#6 is the worst note that Mercury has produced without a doubt. Fair enough, because I think it's absolute trash as well (at most should get spoilered, if people want it mentioned that badly)! I think the C♯6 is pretty decent though!

Is Freddie finally getting his well deserved countable F6? It might seem like a stretch, but I'm hearing it. Some of the notes are good and others not so.. don't know if it's countable. Well at least some of them. That is really nice I've never heard seen that performance. It is amazing how there are often new performances coming out.

I'm generally not someone who thinks it's necessary to demand a certain "quality" of a note (that exceeds any reaaally basic quality), which is always a somewhat subjetive evaluation btw, for me the "problem" with Freddie's high notes is rather the following: (And this is not Freddie's fault at all)
It's simply part of the nature of these notes that in most cases all we have is old footage in not good quality, and above all: unfortunately, usually only audio footage. And as a result, we can't really KNOW, if Freddie hit these notes. Especially in Freddie's case in many performances high notes finally turned out to have been sung by Roger or Brian. (And I will never forget how two Freddie fans claimed that a high note was sung by Freddie, which was in reality a guitar sound :D )
So, not Freddie's fault at all, and I don't have any problems with the "quality" of his high notes, like some others here unfortunately do, but we unfortunately don't know for sure, if these notes are even Freddie's or not.

As unpredictable as Freddie was with his note choices, many notes are most certainly Freddie! Certain notes can be identified through certain qualities, I.E. his whistle register is "tinny" and uncontrolled (most of the time!) I don’t think I’m hearing voice at all there After relistening to the "E♭6", it sounds like a guitar affect. I'll admit I was wrong :(

siphonicwheat16 See, that's the problem. You THINK that it is PROBABLY Freddie. We don't really know. Unfortunately. It's not his fault at all, and if it was him who hit certain high notes, then he is just a victim of the natural circumstances, which is a pity. But unfortunately that makes this whole thread more difficult and somehow problematic. Not fair, but we don't have any proof and especially with Freddie it's not that unlikely that several high notes we hear are not his voice. It sucks of course but in most cases we really don't know

I think my ears might be tripping cause it’s 6 AM but for some reason I’m hearing an Eb6 there. I don’t hear the C5 at all. I'm not getting anything close to Eb6 ... Yeah. You're right. Notechecking stuff at 6 AM was a bad idea haha. I mistook the audience member for him (I didn't catch his voice at all there as I was sleepy). It sounds more like a sharp B4 than a C5 though.

Somewhere between an F5 and a F♯5! www.youtube.com/watch?v=eewwMgYDfdU&t=1m18s
