Been trying to recall some low tenor notes at work the past few days. Sadly I can't remember any at the time. Thought it would be interesting to see which ones people bring up.

Well, there's a debate over who is a real tenor and who isn't. Are you talking about impressive notes?
Paul McCartney's A1 in "The Girl Is Mine" surely is an impressive note that immediately comes to mind.
Apart from that, Eminem hits notes down to a B1. Pharrell sings down to a E2, which is lower than expected for someone with his vocal placement.
Haven't checked the quality of all of these notes, but McCartney is certainly an example of a higher placed vocalist, who can go impressively low if needed, so you might want to check him out.

They don't have to be true tenors, really. I'm just curious about higher placed vocalists singing low notes. Are you referring to Eminem's B1 in that song with Skylar Grey? I never got the chance to hear that one.

This whole segment of Cab Calloway going from an A4 belt down to a B1 that's almost 40 seconds long is one of the most impressive examples of range i've ever seen hereRJ Woessner of Dcappella has hit some pretty impressive lows for a tenor as well. he sung a B1 during an impromptu bassline herePeter Hollens is a tenor who can sing down to at least a decent B1 as well, as he did hereSome other singers I'm not as familiar with who have done similar things are Patrick Stump (down to C#2), Justin Timberlake (down to C#2), Jack Jones (down to a brief B1), as well as singers others have mentioned like Paul McCartney and Eminem.

Harry Nilsson hits a C2 in "What's Your Sign?". He's definitely a tenor.

Myles Kennedy has a backing Bb1, although I’m not entirely sure he’s really a tenor.

An entirely respectable impression of a country baritone for a naturally bright, twangy tenor in Weird Al Yankovic. Lots of melodies down to Eb2 with surprisingly good agility.

JID sounds like a tenor to me and I think he goes down to B1 in the low BGV right here. I'm pretty bad at pitching things so I might be off on what that note is but if it even gets close to that low its lower than what I thought his voice was capable of

I know I’ve mentioned this guy before, but Nilsson has a very strong C#2 in the song “I Think I’m Getting Old”.

Roger Taylor has some E2s in I Wanna Testify And of course, Freddie has F2s in All Dead, All Dead and Somebody To Love. I think they're both very strong F2s, especially given that Freddie's lower register wasn't that used around that time in his career, and it wasn't very impressive either.

As much as I love Freddie, I have to say you're right. Maybe it's not VERY overrated, but it's not good as many people think. He improved it in his last years (especially on Barcelona album, the tone on the low notes from it is superb), but for most of his career he didn't have an impressive low voice. But there are way worse low voices

If William DuVall is a tenor, he has an A1 I believe.
and I think this is a B1 by Weird Al (update thread, Platypus?)

Controversial but I don’t think Freddie’s low register is that special. It’s very overrated. I think Freddie Mercury is overrated in general.
