I've never heard someone dislike Freddie Mercury's voice, he seems like kind of a no brainer for this list

Mariah? I mean, people hate her for diva war reasons, but even these people, if you corner them, would probably admit that Mariah has a great voice, and she pretty much slays in all registers she engages in. Or Whitney. Then there's the drug problem (which was unheard of in the 60s-70s, lol). Being a show biz superstar is a tough job. I was gonna say Whitney but she has a blind spot which is her lower register, that's why I feel Mariah is better suited for a thread like this.
