Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'ConnellVocal Range: D3 – A5 Summary: One of the most unique voices in the industry, and so full of emotions. She mainly shines in the fourth and fifth octaves, with an extremely airy falsetto, which is quite rare and requires a lot of energy. She has an excellent control over her voice (when she's not jumping and dancing on stage), but can suffer from the "breathiness" of it when she performs live, making her low notes almost inaudible. With her newest album Happier Than Ever, she has shown that she's also able to deliver powerful belts up to the mid-fifth octave quite easily, which leaves us to believe that Billie still has a lot in store vocally. Significant High Notes:A5 (" I Didn't Change My Number") G5 (" COPYCAT", " Lo Vas A Olvidar", " ocean eyes") F♯5 (" all the good girls go to hell", " Male Fantasy", " No Time To Die", The 30th") F5 (" hotline bling", " I Didn't Change My Number") E5 (" COPYCAT", " Dancing on my Own" Instagram live, " everything i wanted, " Happier Than Ever", " hostage", " ocean eyes", " Oxytocin", " when the party’s over", " xanny") E♭5 (" Call Me Back") D5 (" 8", " bad guy", " bellyache", " Billie Bossa Nova", " Bored", " come out and play", " Eres Tú" cover, " Getting Older", " GOLDWING", " Happier Than Ever", " idontwannabeyouanymore", " Male Fantasy", " my boy", " my strange addiction", " NDA", " No Time To Die", " ocean eyes", "Orion's Belt" Sabrina Claudio concert, " Six Feet Under", " The 30th", " TV", "wish you were gay", " You Don't Get Me High Anymore" live on Radio 1) C♯5 ("Bad", " goodbye", " Lost Cause", " my future", " when the party's over", " xanny") C5 (" 6.18.18", " Billie Bossa Nova", " COPYCAT", " Everybody Dies", " Happier Than Ever", " hostage", " hotline bling", " ilomilo", " i love you", " listen before i go", " lovely", "Oxytocin", " party favor", " The 30th", " watch", " Your Power") B4 ("bellyache", " Bored", "Dancing on my Own" Instagram live, " everything i wanted", " GOLDWING", " Halley's Comet", " idontwannabeyouanymore", " Lo Vas A Olvidar", " lovely", "Male Fantasy", " my boy", " my strange addiction", " No Time To Die", " ocean eyes", " OverHeated", "Six Feet Under", " Therefore I Am", " TV", " you should see me in a crown", "wish you were gay") Significant Low Notes:B3 ("Bored", "COPYCAT", "Creep" Live for ELLE, "goodbye", "Halley's Comet", "I Didn't Change My Number", "idontwannabeyouanymore", "i love you", "Male Fantasy", "my boy", "OverHeated", "Oxytocin", "party favor", "The 30th", "TV", "xanny", "Your Power") B♭3 ("8", "Bad", "Billie Bossa Nova", "Getting Older", "ilomilo", "Lost Cause", "my boy", "my future", "NDA", "So What" live for ELLE) A3 ("bad guy", "Billie Bossa Nova", "bitches broken hearts", "Bored", "hostage", "hotline bling", "I Didn't Change My Number", "party favor", "Six Feet Under", "Therefore I Am", "watch", "Your Power") G♯3 ("all the good girls go to hell", "Complicated" live for ELLE, "everything i wanted", "Halley's Comet", "Happier Than Ever", " listen before i go", "Lost Cause", "my strange addiction", "OverHeated", "you should see me in a crown") G3 ("6.18.18", bad guy", "bellyache", "Billie Bossa Nova", "COPYCAT", "Dancing on my Own", "Everybody Dies", "Getting Older", " GOLDWING", "goodbye", " I Didn't Change My Number", "i love you', "ilomilo", "lovely", "lying 2 ya", "my future", "NDA", "ocean eyes", "The 30th", "To Touch You", "watch", "wish you were gay" F♯3 ("bury a friend", "everything i wanted", "Halley's Comet", "Lo Vas A Olvidar", "my boy", "No Time To Die", "TV", "WHEN I WAS OLDER", "you should see me in a crown") F3 ("bad guy", "Everybody Dies", "GOLDWING", "listen before i go", "Lost Cause", "lying 2 ya", "my future", "Oxytocin", "Therefore I Am", "xanny", "Yesterday" live from the Oscars)

Her James Bond theme song has been released, and i happy to say, she is growing a vocalist. there this jazzier version of her usual alternative pop sound, and the obligatory theme song belt at the end is really nice and controlled . I was really impressed. Her vocals on this track are amazing. She "only" belts a B4, but it’s well executed. Her low notes are blooming too.

I think the alleged D3(s) in "Bad Guy" are in the words 'criminal/cynical/animal/man I know', although I don't hear anything solid enough to count as such.
P/S: Is it too early for her vocal timeline or may I suggest some recommended listening(s) for the thread?
{SUGGESTIONS FOR NOTABLE PERFORMANCES}
"i love you" - simple yet earnest and emotional
"wish you were gay" - characterful delivery
"lovely" - haunting, delicate harmony
"hotline bling" - an icy, bittersweet rendition
"ocean eyes" - the song that started it all
"when the party's over" - her most vulnerable ballad
"Bad" (MJ cover) - another interesting cover, decent belting
"COPYCAT" - smoky lows, angelic highs
"xanny" - good showcase of breath control
"No Time To Die" - great Bond theme, good belting

I have two more songs that could be good for this thread... youtu.be/ESeEsUqN3UE"Dancing On My Own" Belted B4's, Multiple falsetto E♭5's in the chorus (don't take my word on that tho, I don't have the best ear) youtu.be/76mONfME90c"6.18.18" live on the 1 by 1 tour. Super emotive song, it was a tribute song for X (hence the title) Multiple belted A4's, A boldworthy falsetto C5 at 4:38 (for emotion imo), and multiple G3's at the end of the song.

There's harmonized E♭5's in my boy, and I'm pretty sure the B4's are belted (if you're referring to the ones in the last chorus).

My bad. Also, what would be counted as "pre-pubescent range" in the future?

I dont think this is the most important on pop singers, but lemme say she is mezzo-soprano. She is a great singer already, but her higher notes are a lit bit more uncomfortable than her lower ones. You can check this while hearing 'everything I wanted' song.
I would say she is an alto, just like as mariah carey is. Both are mezzo soprano(yeah, mariah is also mezzo soprano). Great singers.

To be clear I absolutely love her and her music but I do think she seems to have severe difficulties singing both high and low. As we know, her lows tend to fade away in live performances, and she can struggle to reach her highs as well.
An example:
I think she's great and very talented, but there is still room for her to learn more vocal technique and improve even more. She's still really young. I'm looking forward to hear what her growth as a singer and an artist overall brings.

I’m sorry but this makes no sense. You cannot be a mezzo and an alto at the same time. We tend to not use voice types anymore on this site because of the confusions it creates, thus, this is not to be discussed here, but Billie would be a soprano, not a mezzo, and certainly not an alto; her low notes are super breathy and she’s naturally uncomfortable singing below G3.

Billie's a soprano. Believe it or not, not every soprano can belt up to the upper 5th octave. Specifically I would call her a Soubrette, which is a kind of soprano that has a VERY bright tone but a lower tessitura. If you want another example, Taylor swift is also a Soubrette (I'm assuming we're talking about vocal types and not choir vocal types. If this is the case, alto isn't a vocal type.) I know this isn't the place to talk about it, but I'm just making a clear comment here.
