It actually sounds to me like there’s a fundamental in the sixth octave. I tried checking it in a spectrogram but as the audio is rather shit, all I could get from it is that there are some frequencies in the sixth octave that the spectral frequency monitor is picking up. I’ll try cleaning up the audio tomorrow to see what I can find. Have you checked both top links? they're the same performance. The audience video gives it away a lot more, try giving it a few listens!

May I ask why is this E6 not being counted (https://youtu.be/auoydGdV-fo?t=255)? It sounds melodic to me.

What a great vocalist he used to be. He's one of my favorite vocalists. It's sad that his voice weakened and thinned out so much during the last 15 years. It was even noticeable on his latest studio album how much his voice has aged. Then again, he's 77 and still recording albums and touring.

Anyone else think the Bb5 from Hey Jude deserves to be bold? To me, that note sticks out.

There was an awesome vocal timeline on the old thread, albeit with a depressing ending :'(

Is it not still in the new thread here as the 'Album Ranges' spoiler? Nah this was different vocal 'periods' described with a small paragraph and grouped into years.

On his new album McCartney III, the song "Deep Down" includes some significant G5s and belted B4s. Those sections are pretty fleshed out, but I think it's very impressive that he's still able to crank those out at 78 years old.

One of my favourite threads! In the bio it's probably worth updating it to show that 'Egypt Station' (2018) is his most recent album, as opposed to 'NEW'. :) McCartney III was released this year. I'd also suggest moving the E6 from "I Love This House" out of the questionable category. It sounded pretty decent to me, at least compared to the rest of his whistle notes.

McCartney III was released this year. And you're quoting a post made in 2019

McCartney III was released this year. And you're quoting a post made in 2019 And? Why does it matter when the post was made? I was simply providing an update.

And you're quoting a post made in 2019 And? Why does it matter when the post was made? I was simply providing an update. I think it's mostly about the way you phrased it. If you had said, "Can we also add McCartney III since it was released last year" it would come off more as you seemingly intended, and not as trying to correct a comment from before the album came out. At least that's my perspective, maybe I misunderstood something, if I did I'm sorry.
