This thread is for compiling all of the singer threads we have on the forum into one, easy-to-navigate index.

For singers who have been thoroughly researched enough, check in Range Stuff. The research here has been deemed substantial enough to be considered "complete", and while we make no guarantee of objectivity regarding vocals, this is where our most in-depth research will be. For singers who have been partially (but not fully) researched, check in Work-in-Progress Threads. The threads here are being worked on but should not be considered complete research yet.

Thread Claims
A claim is the term we use for placing your name on a singer you wish to research. If you are claiming a thread, it means you plan on researching that singer at some point in the near future.

Please note - while we do not have a limit on the number of claims you may have, if you accrue a fairly sizeable number of claims and/or have been working on some of your claims for a particularly long amount of time, you are expected to be slightly more liberal in allowing others to enquire about or take your claims. Some singers - even currently threadless ones - are very popular, and it would be rather unfair for one person to have their name on a lot of very popular singers, especially if their pace in researching isn't especially fast. Therefore, be mindful that while you can claim who you choose, all claims are - to an extent - negotiable. People can always ask you about your claims and you can always enquire about threads you're interested in.

We have gone into detail before about what you should do if you wish to claim a thread.

Starting a New Thread

If you want to claim a new singer, this is the thread you should go to. On claiming a new singer, you're saying that you plan on working on them in the not-too-distant future, so you should always be mindful of how many singers you're claiming.

Before you claim an entirely new thread, these are the steps you should take:

1. Search for the thread. Can you find it on the forum? If you've found it on the forum, you can't claim it here (unless it's particularly old and outdated, in which case take a read further down). If you haven't, you should still...
2. Double-check. Check the Google Sheets sheet of everyone below just to make sure.
3. Check if it's been claimed by someone else here. If it has, chances are they're working on it.
4. If it hasn't, you can claim the thread! Huzzah! Now get to work

Rebooting an Old Thread

However, sometimes you might want to restart an old, neglected thread, which you are entirely permitted to do under some circumstances. If the thread is particularly outdated and has been for some time, you can request to take it over. If there's only a few small things wrong with it, just leave a post and the original poster (OP) will respond accordingly. If you have posted suggested updates on the thread and they have been completely ignored for a long time (a few months, most likely), you can send a message to the OP to enquire about the state of the thread.

If you want to restart an old thread, this is what you should do:

• Send a message to the thread owner. Always, always, always do this. It doesn't matter how long they've been inactive or how poor their thread is, you should always message the original poster of the thread.
• Check the current thread owner's activity. If they were last online a long time ago, chances are they've forgotten about the thread. However, you should still send a message to them just to be sure.
• If the OP responds within two weeks of your message with their decision, you can follow it accordingly. If they don't respond within two weeks, you can assume the thread to be yours and should post here that you're taking it.
• If they decide to give you the thread, post here and let us know so we can update our document with your claim. If the thread owner denies your request but remains particularly nonresponsive/uncooperative, staff may still approve a takeover of the thread.
• Once you feel your remake is ready to be posted, post it to the Orphaned/Abandoned Thread Review thread or message staff with your research and we'll either approve it for posting or tell you what else needs to be done.

The Singer Index

Pro tip: CTRL+F will open the 'search' function on your browser. Keying the name you are looking for into the search function could save you a lot of time instead of trawling the lists manually.

Please note: Even though we're up and running, lots of people still have threads they're working on that are not yet listed on the Index. Hence, for the initial few weeks, we recommend you do not try to claim any new threads unless the original poster has given you explicit permission to do so.

Also note: If a thread is being given up for adoption by the current OP, priority should always go to who helped work on the thread with the OP or who the OP dictates they think should have the thread.

So, as you're all aware at this point, we've been put in a situation pretty much entirely out of our control. I was part of the 99.9% of us that were not involved in any kind of discussion at all and are now trying to set the forum up again from scratch. 

So, you might be asking, in fact I'm positive you are, "Mana, what do you do when self-important former administrators give you lemons?"

Well I'll tell you:

I throw them the fuck out cause I don't fucking use lemons for anything other than spaghetti aglio e olio, which, by the way, you should all learn how to make because it's super easy, super delicious and will impress any non-Italian date you bring home.

Got a little off message there, but basically, I guess I'm trying to make spaghetti aglio e olio. So, a lot of my older threads need a little fine tuning, some of them I want redone all together. Part of what I want to do is make the most out of this incredibly stupid situation and go whole hog on making sure our threads are all as uniformally the same standard as humanely possible and the easiest person to do that with for a start is myself. 

The thing is, it's gonna take a pretty long time for me to do that. While those involved might have decided this was as good a time as any to shaft the entire community, I personally am deep into my 3rd year of undergraduate university study and will be working full-time once I'm done with that. As you can imagine, this doesn't exactly give me ample time to engage in what is a fairly small but time consuming hobby.

I should clarify that I'm choosing of my own accord to remake a lot of these threads, quite a few of them were on the to do list at some point anyway, and that it is also my choice to not upload incomplete threads in the mean time. I guess if there are any you're super duper desperate to see the old version of, I can just dm you a copy for your own dirty pleasure.

Anyway, a whole bunch of them are coming pretty soon anyway, as a couple of them only need minor fine tuning (you'll see a couple up all ready), so here's the run down.

The threads in this section are honestly never going to get done. For a lot of them, I honestly cannot be fucked re-researching all that material. I will be more than happy to collab with you on them, but jesus christ not by myself... not again. The bottom line is that most of these will just rot in N/I forever in my hands, as most of them already were on TRP3. My energy for this kind of stuff is not what it used to be and I'd rather other more interested parties had the opportunity to tackle these.

Even though I already admitted that I wouldn't be very active on the forum for a while due to a combination of both personal and professional/academic reasons, I'm here to kindly ask for a staff member to send my posted threads and the ones I claimed before the forum move. I also admit a lot of my threads weren't really up to the current standards of TRP before the move so it would be more apropriated for them being in the WIP sections. I don't have a particularly good memory to know everything I posted and claimed on the fly - so I'll probably sort them again in the proper way (the ones ready to post already, the ones that will go to WIP, the ones I'll give away, my claims and everything) once I have the proper list.
