Hello everybody. I don't know what to say as far as introductions go, really, but it's cool to see a community like this that spends so much time in and around music. Personally, I'd say I live and breathe it, so you people seem like my kind of people. Looking forward to getting to know some of you.

I've followed your site for a bit and the research you do with these note watching posts is terrific. I don't know how much I can help with those, the Prince one is simultaneously among the best and most stressful-looking things I've ever laid eyes on, but I'd be happy to give it a shot sometime if the opportunity comes up. I'd also love to give some ideas for singers to research, if you're receptive to that.

Hello everyone!!
I'm Auriel Brault, I've been a musician all my life (now freshly 18), I play a lot of different instruments because I learn very quickly apparently and that is also something to consider when it comes to my singing!
I like to imitate sounds and songs by ear every day (I got perfect pitch!), so that kind of kept my vocal cords up to date before and after my vocal shift.
I am mainly a pianist and have no formal training when it comes to singing, so I just mainly do what I'm able to do thanks to my ears. I have what I'd describe as a monstrous range with very little control but a lot of potential, and I feel like if I could find the right people to coach me I could reach great accomplishments!
I compose music since quite a while now, mainly just as a hobby, sometimes for projects like video games, blending different genres such as classical and baroque (considering my background) with stuff like techno, jazz and rock, I'm a big fan of prog.
Of course this site is absolutely amazing and such fun, notewatching is something I do on the regular and that kind of classification activity passionates me a lot, I wish to find other people with whom to share and learn about many great singers.
I'm natively a French Canadian, very open and friendly so don't hesitate to write to me, I'd love to meet you!

Hi I know some people in here from discord I don't do any singing, but I love listening to music preferably stuff from the 50's-90's in the genres like rock metal some country and most offshoot genres of rock and metal. Some of my favorite artists are Roy Orbison, Rob Zombie, Megadeth, Nirvana, Scorpions, Enuff Z' Nuff, and a shit ton of others, which you will see if you ever somehow end up following my Spotify somehow, if I ever share my link, as I follow all of the bands I like.

um uh ok well I'm not really new anymore either but haven't actually introduced myself because social anxiety... but uh yeah call me Xarb I guess, he/him or whatever idc gender is dumb anyways, 22 y.o., I am a walking Beatles encyclopedia and only really started listening to other stuff partway through high school lol, didn't really get into-into (on a neurodivergent level) anyone else till Elliott Smith 2 years ago. Now I just listen to anything but trying to branch off more from sad white indie men... on a more relevant note, I've actually lurked here since the TRP3 days so I'd say I pretty much got the drill and already sort of vaguely kinda-know some of you, all right cool das it B)

oh yeah I'm also haunted by the ghost of Tendon Levey, but he's cool, we just watch shit together and he sometimes helps me record music or do laundry & stuff

Hi there 😊 I discovered this site only earlier today (15th Feb 2024) and thought it'd be fun to join, especially as most of you seem to be young-ish and have some understanding of good old music. 🎼
I'm in my early 20s, 3rd year at uni, doing biomed, and hoping to get into medicine. Listening to, playing around with, and discovering all sorts of music keeps me rather entertained though. 🎶

My vocal range:

G2-G6 ±3 semitones, haha. My tessitura (comfortable range) is B3-A5. 😊
Recently (end of January 2024) I mentioned more on my main YouTube channel 'community' page. My channel is primarily Enya-related 🥰🎶 but will have more of my own singing and some other artists sprinkled in too. Thanks to anyone who listens, watches, or decides to subscribe 

I've not really had vocal training (i.e. singing lessons) but did go to a church choir up to age 13. It was after when I became interested in my range; hitting low notes and reaching high notes, and also when I realised and was told by a music teacher that I have perfect pitch.  🎼

As of this post, I've yet to share my singing to a wider audience online, but that may change in the next few weeks! 😅🎶

I'm familiar with the Proboards forum style, this is perhaps the 3rd one I've joined. The first I joined was Marble Halls in late 2021, here. :))
(Around 3 years ago I 'discovered' Enya, and have been a big fan of her and the music since! 🤗 I hope she'll have a new album out by the end of the year 🎼 🔮🤞

thought id introduce myself here, im avi!
(i never know whether to use proper capitalization and stuff here. seems like most ppl do. i do it on my threads to seem professional)
currently i upkeep 2 threads and even though any normal person would call them done im still regularly updating both of them with tiny changes. in particular the justin courtney pierre thread has gotten so overgrown that i cant add anything new without the range planet giving up and deleting the whole thing. (i have a bunch of changes i wanna make too!)
im 16, i use any pronouns, and am very open to feedback on literally any of my notes on any of my threads. i think things through, but then i overthink them. more perspectives are always nice.
my comfortable vocal range is probably something like C#2 - A4 (chest) - D5 (mixed) - G5. my total countable range is probably Bb1 - B4 - F5 - B5, but i really cant control the majority of it very well. im living proof that 4 octaves does not make you a good singer.
i dont currently have any plans of taking on more threads, but i do want to be more active, and i wanna get better at notewatching. i still have a long way to go, but im glad to be here :)

and now that i’m having a huge Green Day phase I find myself coming back here and looking at Billie Joe’s thread. so yeah i got fascinated after looking at some others and decided to talk a bit here, hope I don’t disappear suddenly
i’m 14 and never really had vocal training, so feel free to make suggestions on my notewatching, I'm like, VERY lenient towards counting notes. I just generally enjoy music and play a few instruments.

Hello I'm TheCMRecluse ("CM" stands for Christian Music).

I'm a 28 year old, French American, ex-choir singer (baritone) who is in the autism spectrum. I have a huge passion for music and like a lot of genres. As my new username suggests, I mostly do threads on figures in Christian music or at the very least has themes related to Christianity. The reason I am doing that is not just because of my faith but to have an overall theme to be organized. My vocal range from measurement is a C#1 to an A6 (5 octaves, 8 notes) in completion, however my tessitura maybe around C2-D5 depending on the state I'm in. I was taught under my mom who was a singer and the former choir teacher from a church that I have left due to traumatic treatment. My favorite singers are mostly alt rock and metal figures like Maynard James Keenan, Jonathan Davis, Chino Moreno, and others to the more extreme and unusual like Mike Patton, Devin Townsend, Joe Duplantier, Greg Puciato and others.

Even though I've been around here for a long time, I still wanna say that it is my pleasure to meet all of you.
