I noticed that I haven't done one of these. Hello I'm TheCMRecluse ("CM" stands for Christian Music). My original name "voixprince", used to be a name an ex-girlfriend, who loved theatrics, gave me and so I changed it due to sad memories. I'm a 28 year old, ex-choir singer (baritone) who is in the autism spectrum. I have a huge passion for music and like a lot of genres (with the only exceptions being crunk, regional, grindcore and mumble rap). As my new username suggests, I mostly do threads on figures in Christian music or at the very least has themes related to Christianity. The reason I am doing that is not just because I'm a Christian but to have an overall theme for the singers I choose as a way to be organized. Outside of music, I'm into animation, cinema, history and science. My vocal range from measurement is a C#1 to an F#6 (5 octaves, 5 notes) in completion, however my tessitura maybe around C2-D5 depending on the state I'm in. I was taught under a tenor choir leader and some techniques he taught got me to learn how to sing higher than the standard baritone ever since childhood. My favorite singers are mostly alt rock and metal figures like Maynard James Keenan, Jonathan Davis, Chino Moreno, Serj Tankian, Josh Homme and others to the more extreme and unusual like Mike Patton, Devin Townsend, Joe Duplantier, Greg Puciato and others. Even though I've been around here for a long time, I still wanna say that it is my pleasure to meet all of you. Iβm also in the autism spectrum

hello everyone. I have been a pretty frequent lurker on this site for a couple years now. Some of my favorite vocalists who do not yet have pages on here include Jeremy Enigk (Sunny Day Real Estate), Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes), Ian MacKaye (Fugazi/Minor Threat), Guy Picciotto (Fugazi/Rites of Spring), Tim Kasher (Cursive), Aaron Weiss (mewithoutYou), Geoff Rickly (Thursday), and Christian Holden (The Hotelier). If you couldn't tell I am a fan of post-hardcore/emo. I am a self-taught vocalist myself, and can probably be described as a higher-placed tenor, though I am unsure of the full extent of my potential range and hope to get some sort of training/further education on vocals eventually. I apologize if I have been rude to anyone so far on this site; talking about music can get me pretty heated pretty quick. If anyone else is a fan of any of the aforementioned singers and is better than me at this sort of thing, please reach out. Thanks.

Idk what to say here. I'm oyly and I'm a boy, trying to figure out the best way of singing. My voice is unchanged I think and I have always had good control of it, so my voice type I guess is just a treble but just recently started having true interest. My modal range is D3-D7 very pushed, but my tessitura is E3-B6 approximately. With modal I mean chest + head voice, not counting fry nor whistle tones. I like to sing and I like people to hear me sing :D playing games and a lot of other things

What's up. I'm KaizoKazoo. This is actually my third time registering for The Range Place, but I used to be active through the TRP2 and 3 days, up to the beginning of The Range Planet. I went by "Toast," if anybody remembers.
I took a step back because the note-watching hobby was slowly becoming an obsession. I took it far too seriously, regularly got into arguments with others about the validity of notes, and honestly it was affecting my enjoyment of the music I listened to. Now I've finished university, started a full-time job, and I'm ready to rejoin this forum as a place for fun music discussions and a neat little notewatching hobby β as it should be.
Oh yeah, I'm a dude, I consider myself a baritone. My comfortable range is G2 - F4 - C5, on a good day it's D2 - A4 - F5, and it's A0 - B1 - C5 - A5 - G6 when I'm feeling especially wanky. My star sign is Virgo, I prefer people between 2 feet and 8 feet, don't talk to me if you're not an engineer (especially if you're LAS), or if you play guitar. Glad that's clear.
In all seriousness though, I've been lurking this forum for the past few months, and I think it's high time I rejoined. I'm excited to be back.

Shit nvm I'm not an engineer. I can't talk to you. Soz. Too late, I'm outside your home. Too bad, buckorooski. The FBI, the CIA, the police force and the King's guards are currently surrounding my home so if you try to invade you will be bombarded by at least 84,138,970,390,214,796,347,651 (84 sextillion) bullets before you enter. Oh, and probably a corgi or two. Or three. Edit: One shall admit that one replied to one's comment because one wanted to use the police and siren emojis.

yk I don't think I did one of these so I may as well.
Hello peeps of the Range World my name is 123 (great name, I know... please... don't mention it...) I am a person who exists on the planet Earth (fun fact). I like listening to music so that's why I'm here. I also like singing and singers too as well as playing the piano, drums and I know like two chords on the guitar so that's all fine and dandy. My life consists of me currently stuck in a school building sitting in a classroom for 9941372418098494 minutes (accurate statistics, from... erm National Geographic) going home and doing work, chilling here and playing instrument and then dying for 7 hours and getting revived and vice versa for a long time. REALLY USELESS information: - I used to have blonde hair - heart rate is slightly faster than the average for some reason (I'm not dead so dw) - My height is in the range (HAHAHAHHA GET IT THE ' RANGE' PLANET am I hilarious or what ) from 2 feet to 9 feet. - I can see a tree from my bedroom - I can make a toasted cheese sandwich all on my own - I have 5 fingers on each of my two hands - I own: a bag, a Rubik's cube, a Simon Says Groot thing, a computer, a phone, a hat and a DVD player (my pfp is a Prism Dragon from DragonVale if you cared)

hello everybuds
I am the dippinn and I thought it was time for me to dip into the aural side of production, hopefully correcting and perfecting anything in need for me
I'll try to outweigh the lurker balance with as much interaction as I can (with what little internet connection I usually have π)
I make music in my free time, and my vocal range is A1(BARBEQUE SAUSE) - F12(KEY) - Alf(alF) - B008s
just kidding I can only sing or talk in one note note to self: βͺβͺβͺlaβͺβͺβͺ boom there you go no more music
just kidding lol (please give me pointers on embed link and text formating wizardry pls)

the true secret to figuring anything out is to find a post with the formatting in it and click "quote", revealing its guts and viscera

hello, i'm jukmifgguggh! i have been looking at quite a few posts on this site for a while now, as it's a really handy reference to figure out which songs i likely can/cannot sing. so i really appreciate all the work that's gone into creating those big posts with entire artist's singing histories in them! (shoutouts to the creators of the threads for Thom Yorke, Matt Bellamy, Joe Hawley, Neil Cicierega, Ryland Heagy, Mike Kerr, Gene Ween, and Sebastien Grainger!)
i am posting because i would like to start contributing to the site. there are a couple artists i listen to that don't have threads, and i always find myself pulling out my piano app and checking all the highest notes they sing in their songs. though these artists are not super well known, i feel like it's an attainable goal since they don't have large discographies either.
currently scouring the site to see if there are any good resources on how to properly format and structure such a post, found not a lot so far. any help would be much appreciated!!
oh also i am not a singer but my vocal range is D2 - G4 - G#5

Also make sure to go to Singer Index and Thread Moderation and claim a singer before starting work on their thread. Good luck out there :)

Hello Range Planet :) I'm typing this on a mobile device so I apologise for the poor formatting.
I'm new to this forum so I was going to introduce myself here, seeing as I'll probably be quite active soon.
I'm an amateur musician who was introduced to The Range Planet after listening to "Beyond the Wheel" by Soundgarden. I remember being impressed by his vocals and wanting to know just how low and high he got in that same song. The Chris Cornell thread was my first one as a result.
I'm mostly a guitarist and a bassist so I don't know much about my voice, but I'm comfortable down to about G2, project well in the 3rd octave and can get up into the 5th octave with various levels of upper chest extension/mix/head/falsetto. I can sort-of-not-quite squeak out a couple high 6th octave notes in whistle register, but they're not consistent and I wouldn't count them as part of my range. Besides, I'm more interested in developing good technique, pitch accuracy and tone than in "rangewanking" as this forum calls it.
It's an honour to be among your ranks! -asgardvoxx

Hello!
I'm a bass singer curious about expanding my range and grasp of vocal techniques such as bass growl, subharmonics, and whistle tones.
