Hi everybody! I have a question, is that C6 from "Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except for Me and My Monkey" actually sung by Lennon? In the song credits, Paul appears as the background vocalist. That's what makes me doubt. Also, I think that C6 sounds like McCartney's timbre, but I'm not sure. Thank you!

Why are some of the really high screams in blue and others aren't?

Why are some of the really high screams in blue and others aren't? Some are closer to being mixed voice I guess? It would be good if there was another colour for identifying mixed voice vs chest voice, unless I'm missing something.

Believe it or not, we’ve actually discussed doing something like this for this forum, but if I recall most people agreed it would be a bit too tedious. Personally I would actually like to do this on my threads as I think the distinction is useful. You could remove the italic and make any italic notes be mixed notes because non-melodic notes are so rare. Most of the highs on this Lennon thread would prolly be mixed though.

Mixed voice is a pretty big spectrum too. Just because of the way resonance works, there's always going to be some mixing of sympathetic vibrations in the different cavities. It would be very difficult to consistently draw a law where we start to consider it part of mixed voice, rather than chest.

Bold Suggestion: The Bb4 from Mr. Moonlight. Agreed. I’ve always thought that note was excellent/one of his best; As well as the other high notes on that tune (I believe they’re G#4).

I definitely think that first note from Mr Moonlight should be bold. Also, I just found this awesome alternate version of Mr Moonlight that really shows off John’s vocal capabilities. youtu.be/jg0x5P6DAKA

If you listen to the Isolated Vocal of “Money”; the two A4s he hits on “Well!”—are EXCELLENT. I definitely think those are Bold-worthy. youtu.be/vSEvyXNAOJs&t=1m42s and then at 2:05
