Surely the G2 in I’m A Loser should be bolded. It sounds like it’s of equal quality to the one in Happiness Is A Warm Gun. He also hits it six times in I’m A Loser compared to just three times in Happiness Is A Warm Gun. The amount of times the note is done doesn't matter at all, in fact if it's only one but being a really good one then it can amerite its bolding. And personally I disagree, I find "Happinness is a warm gun" pretty good and hold on pitch strongly while the ones in "I'm a loser" sounds... very good IMO too but not so great for amerite its bold I think if a note is done multiple times in short succession then that could contribute to a note or rather a pitch being bold worthy, but this of course depends on how wide the timeframe between the notes are.

If notes in question are not completely good for a bold then they won't be bolded, and that's all. Nothing has been established never about notes that are given multiple times meriting so its bolding. We're labelling standout or greatest notes, not the most constant or lead ones You are right that this technically would more so be impressive melodies than individual notes

There is absolutely precedent for bolding a particularly impressive passage even if the note in isolation isn’t the most impressive thing. Ditto for notes being hit multiple times in short succession. Frankly though I think someone should just take over this thread entirely and repost it than to continue to alter it from the original creators intention with regards to dubious countability of already included notes and altering of what notes are bolded.

I think someone should just take over this thread entirely and repost it Agreed. I don't think it's productive to be constantly making little tiny edits to a thread that's already old, incomplete, and a little unorganized (no offense to the creator). A new user should remake this thread and go through all of the material, including what people have already submitted to the thread.

It's not really that incomplete or outdated. John Lennon didn't have a massive discography and the edits we are making are probably the most necessary we can make. Having a new user make a more so called "complete" version of the thread would essentially be nearly identical.

But once again, if notes (or line) in question are not completely awesome for a bold then won't be bolded. However I don't think that's "I'm a Loser" case, personally

I personally would count the D5s at the end of "Mother". They're very distorted but hit the pitch pretty clearly.

The D5s from Mother and John And Yoko should be included.

Lennon could strain a D5. Enough said. It's personally countable to me.

I propose this B♭4 from "Amsterdam" for a bold... like 18 seconds, probably his longest note ever. I can't support this as a bold choice because I can't condone making anybody else listen to that
