I see no reason why the "Run to the Hills" live A2s shouldn't be counted. Yes his voice was in bad shape on that night but it wasn't like it was a big anomaly or anything, he was getting strong A2s on "Fear of the Dark" just 2 years later.
For the same reason, I also see no reason why the "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" C#5 should be spoilered. He might've sounded ill during that performance but they barely sound any different from other notes in that area, just grittier.

What are you guy's opinion on this note? youtu.be/ubsMW377bEg30:09 Had some people say C6/C#6 and others say B5 I'm personally leaning towards Bb5/B5

Here's a link to a poll to decide what we're doing with the A2s from "Run to the Hills" Live in Saarbrucken 1990 LinkI shall check the results a week from today and update the thread accordingly

Is this "Wrathchild" B5 worth adding to the thread?

This is not countable but there is a dip at the end of the phrase Also there are some boldable notes like A4 in "Jerusalem"(at last live www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTgZatpr1L8&t=350s ), A2 in "The longest day" and perhabs D5 in "Lord of Light". I'd say one on 2006 live performances of "Lord of Light" deserves to be in his top 10 best performances.

The A4s in the live Jerusalem are the same as in the studio, they just pop more with the acoustic backing. He could probably due with a few more bold fourth octave notes though. Which Lord of Light performance did you have in mind?

Digging the new solo song! A4s, B4s, and C5s here. This tessitura seems to work pretty well for his range these days. there's some weird backing sigh here (after "broken", @ 4:25) that I think reaches E2, probably not countable tho

www.youtube.com/watch?v=kE4xNUB2Q5EI thought it was pretty decent on the first listen, but after a day, this song has fucking burrowed itself into my head, can't stop listening to it, its great. Also Bruce sounds great on this one, cant wait for the full release of the album.

Is Bruce still considered a tenor since his voice is lower? We don't really do voice type discussions because they end up never going anywhere and gets everything off track. That being said it's rare for people to change voice types during there life, notable exceptions would be Elton John, who clearly went from a tenor to a baritone. Even someone like Robert Plant who has had a signifigant reduction in his high is still quite clearly a tenor. While Dickinsons voice is lower now he is still has all the hallmarks of a tenor, just one that is placed slightly lower than in his youth.
