He goes well above an A5. Im trying to listen to all of his albums, I really enjoy him. I stumbled upon this: youtu.be/xw2s6-SUKoc?t=177Hes highest note in this (watch till the end) is a D#6 I dont know if there are effects or some pich work being done, but it is his voice. Also,I think I can slightly hear an E1 in the end of this: youtu.be/6JPUJFP_-EE?t=241Again, its his voice, you can hear the lip smacking at the end So, if both of these are allowed and true, I think we can say that he has a 5 octave range, hes missing one note to complete it (E6) but I think we all know he could or has done it.

The Eb6 is definitely another singer. It doesn't sound remotely close to Ivans voice. The E1 in this case is probably just a low brass instrument.

The Eb6 is definitely another singer. It doesn't sound remotely close to Ivans voice. The E1 in this case is probably just a low brass instrument. I dont know. I hear the same timber in the high notes as the timber Im used to. Listen to this: youtu.be/uG476e4P6q0?t=146 It has the same color. Also that E1 has the same vomit/monster/foghorn sound to it like his f#1 in still, still, still youtu.be/pQ2835Kv6hc?t=89 And in an interview he was asked if he has a 5 octave vocal range, and he said ''sometimes'' Here is a question and answer session with Ivan Rebroff, an international singing group - he sings in five octaves, seven languages and assorted styles and accents - who will perform folksongs Saturday night at Constitution Hall. The reason there is only one question is that he also talks. Q: Five oct aves A: No. Sometimes. Only on holidays. Maria Callas - she was my neighbor when I was in 'Fiddler on the Roof' in Paris - she had four tones higher and four tones deeper than she sang on stage, but she said that is just for security, you must have something in reserve. I never use more than three-and-a-half, four octaves. When I was a boy, I sang in the St. Thomas boy's choir in Leipzig, boy soprano, and I never lost soprano. But when I was 13, 14, every week I had one more deeper note, and the next week, one more deeper, and I thought 'Where is this going to end'www.washingtonpost.com/archive/lifestyle/1977/12/03/rebroff-a-group-in-one/6d3e280e-00ce-4f85-bbd6-798edb41b4ff/Also, there's so much material, I dont think that people who have come up with his vocal range have listened to every single song he has made. I mean every year he was releasing at least 4 albums. The time stamps on the links didnt work, you have to blue mark them copy and paste them not just press them

The timber in the two voices high range sounds a bit different to me. and the F#1 sounds very full and the E1 on the other hand still sounds like a brass instrument to me.

As much as I think yeah it could be him on the higher end, the E1 is undoubtedly a brass instrument. Yeah, the high notes are awesome. That would be quite a find. Just when everyone thought that the A5 was the one time that he broke his own rule of having several notes left in the tank, now he soars half an octave higher still. That Eb1 that he barely touches upon in some clip ought to have a corresponding counterpart. If people keep looking hard then I'm sure that they will come up with some song where he sang lush high octave 0 notes that didn't originate from a brass instrument or a double bass.

I still think the E1 is his. You can hear a lip smack in the end. Why would it be there if he had stopped singing? Maybe you guys dont agree because its too clear and has 0 fry? Well yeah thats a good argument, but maybe he could do an E1 clearly ,unlike the Eb1 which in my opinion shouldnt even be counted. Maybe in the studio he could. Idk, I think the lip smack is almost guarantee

If someone can find lower than that, that amounts to a clear note that's sung solo, then no problem.

Multiple ones too. It's a bit like Frank Sinatra's C5 with laughs from the audience, he's not really trying to sing well. It's more of a stunt. At least he has figured out how to look like an operatic soprano. I'm not saying that the note itself is bad. I dont know if its been pre recorded or not though. I mean doing an A#5 staccato? I dont know i think maybe something has been done.

My mezzo-soprano friend sang some Disney song up to Bb5 that way, she doesn't usually go that high but it worked for that passage.

Frank's C5 was... of a far worse quality to say the least.

That is pure entertainment, and he's going for it. Within reason, of course.

Another huge find. I don't think anyone can argue that this isn't Ivan, the timber is the same and it doesnt sound like a woman. I don't deny that there could be some pitching up or something, but no one can know.
Edit: It is entirely possible that Ivan knew of the whistle register, and could do it that way. Cause if this is not pitched up, he's definitely not using regular falsetto

The Bb5 is from a video, your new D6 from some old record could be literally anyone. The fact that some people would like it to be Ivan Rebroff doesn't mean that it is.

Okay but why do you have to be so snarky about it? I don't think he was being snarky about it. I think he was just explaining his viewpoint.
