Hayley Williams is the lead vocalist and songwriter of pop punk band Paramore. Joining the group at only sixteen, Hayley quickly became famed for her dynamic stage presence and her soaring vocals, with songs like "Emergency" and "Pressure" becoming fan favourites from their debut. From there they have continued to grow, from 2007's rock-oriented Riot! to their 2013 more pop-oriented self-titled album. Paramore has faced numerous changes in line-ups resulting in a noticeable musical shift in direction over the years, and while some fans may feel that the band's new sound isn't for them, Hayley's warm persona and elastic vocals have remained at the heart of the group's success.
Both Hayley's upper and lower chest voice are very strong; though primarily known for her soaring fifth octave belts ("All We Know", "Brick By Boring Brick", "Decode"), her lower register is also one to write home about, as - particularly in recent years - Hayley seems far more comfortable singing in the lower third octave, most likely as a result of her better technique with her new vocal coach. With a bright, distinct tone and numerous strengths throughout her range, it's really no wonder why Hayley is commonly cited as the driving force behind Paramore's success.
{A Few Examples of Her Voice}
A nice belty early career performance.
A good display of her soft singing and lower register.
