Well, on a pitching app this note is quite easy to detect (I think for the recording's good quality). Anyway, I agree with you to add this note under questionable notes. You have a pitching app? Or do you mean one with a piano?

You can easily find pitching apps in the appstore. Anyway, in my opinion there are some notes which should be bolded: - A4 during improvisation at Live Aid and in Hammersmith 1979 (https://youtu.be/EjXetWK-Ur8?t=427) (https://youtu.be/pkkFKUmFJ70?t=340) - Bb4 during improvisation in Montreux 1986 (https://youtu.be/eLsKKgcCXmo?t=34) - B4 in Heaven For Everyone (https://youtu.be/yI8lrvKLzg0?t=212) - C5 in Somebody To Love in Edinburgh 1982, C5 in Machines (Or Back To Humans) and C5 in The Golden Boy (https://youtu.be/OPizyP4x30I?t=289) - C#5 in Scandal (https://youtu.be/VMO3YNoNyTY?t=247) - D5 in Let's Turn It On (https://youtu.be/uFBsi9HVQig?t=175) - E5 in Exercise In Free Love (https://youtu.be/qkuBUWykrIU?t=77)

I'd also agree on that Hammersmith A4 and I'm 90% of the way on the D5 in "Let's Turn It On". Probably wouldn't bold the B4 or the C5 from "Golden Boy" as the former is a bit too short and the latter is extremely difficult to make out. The C#5 could probably go either way, but I don't think the E5 should be bolded as falsetto notes are generally not bolded unless they are extremely high or quite sustained.

Hey folks, I'm gonna be revamping this thread with some edits that rob made so that we can finally get some updates on it until it finally gets taken over. Before I do that, though, I think we should try to get a consensus on what Freddie's highest countable note is, because I've heard some differing opinions expressed on that, and we've found a number of sixth octave notes that are worth getting an official verdict on. Here are the links: This clip has been cited as having E6s at the timestamp and at 2:55, though I'm rather iffy about both. Another E6 here - this one sounds more solid though I'm not 100% sure it's voice. Sounds like a countable D6 here. This is one that a few of us agreed is a countable E♭6 several pages back. This one sounds like a fairly solid E♭6 as well actually. This one sounds like an E♭6 that briefly trills to F6...I'm almost tempted to say I'd count it, but I feel like others might consider it too short. Anyway, chime in with your thoughts folks! When we get enough answers to get a solid ruling, I'll update the OP.

In my opinion the Eb6 from New York and Leiden are countable (though Leiden's shorter than New York). I agree with E6 from Tokyo and Eb6 from Rosemont, as well as the D6. The notes in Saarbrucken should go under questionable (maybe due to the quality of the recording which isn't very good). Anyway, those are all pretty good notes. P.S: I don't hear F6 in New York What about the D7 at 27:52? It probably isn't Freddie, but it doesn't sound like a synth... youtu.be/HfT3DtUVhP8

I would personally add also this Bb5 and this Eb5: youtu.be/IJhWfr4V_ns (17:07 in See What A Fool I've Been) youtu.be/Neqxpm_maRM (1:37 in The Golden Boy) In this performance of The Golden Boy there is an interesting low note around 1:30. What about it?

Anything above D6 isn't countable imo. But who I am to say that, right? 😁 In my opinion those notes are quite sustained and they could be added. But I understand if you don't agree

I never noticed the F in New York, you've got good ears. I think it's countable, albeit kinda brief.
For the Saarbrucken notes, I think the timestamp is an F not an E, since it sounds slightly higher than the other note, at least to me, could always be mistaken.

I think that was a joke. At least I hope it is 😳 Nope. I am serious. Like I said just my opinion. But especially the notes from Get Down make love are extremely weird. Like some weird noises with effects. I mean i saw threads where clearer and better notes got either ignored or just added to questionable notes at best. I know, I know. Maybe not the most perfect argument, but it's the way I feel about these notes.

But it should be added without a doubt. I also think this is a countable Bb5 at 2.27. youtu.be/X1OkQJRQdWcWhat's the note at 2.31 after the falsetto Bb5? Sounds like a very very raw mixed voice (not countable for sure) Sustained E6 here at 30:03 youtu.be/yF5AJYRpPhg

Sounds like a guitar tbh, especially because you hear it go to a higher note a few seconds after. I think the second one is just the echo effect. They used it a lot in Get Down Make Love breakdown.

Yeah, sorry mate, I'm quite certain that's Brian's guitar.
