F#2 The long awaited song The General has been leaked (it was supposed to have been released today as a vinyl B-side, but said vinyl has been delayed until early December). The song 'Monsters' has also leaked. It's got some pretty brutal vocals at one point, very cool :D Been away for a few days and so I'm gutted I missed this leak. Looks like the songs have been stripped from youtube

I tried reaching out to Alex, but with no luck.

Gladly, but I can't find those songs anywhere. All I can find are live versions of the general and a really old demo from 9 years ago

Sorry for the delay, but here's what I have Setzer, blazejecar2: - Monsters - D2 - A4 F5 F#5 (right at the end of the song)
- The General - D3 - C#5 Eb5 F5
There's maybe a low or something I'm missing in The General but I think that's it.

I’ll get onto updating this + my other threads over the weekend!

There's maybe a low or something I'm missing in The General but I think that's it. The general also has what sounds like faint D2s on the word "sorry" in both verses. Didn't spot anything else outside of this. The monsters low sections might get lower than D2 but it's really hard to tell with all the effects

What about stuff like the Locomotive Eb6 whistle youtu.be/NAxwmaCDYcI?t=395 or his high whistle screams like get in the ring youtu.be/Z2QCORi-u0U?t=242 , he has a bunch of those, they could at the very least be in the questionable section since he was doing this pretty often in the old days Coming back to this, I know "Estranged" was addressed but how come this note in "Get In the Ring" isn't in the thread? It is at 4:15. A6? Not sure on the pitching for this, maybe around an F#5? Quality is garbage, there's another slightly more listenable version of the same clip posted by this other user, the above video was just to help people see the context the note is within (what Axl is doing):

A5 ("Cold Hard Cash"[3], "The Garden"[1][2][4]) C♯2 ("The Garden"[5]) ................................................................... 1. Questionable representivity. 2. Questionable octave. 3. Questionable legitimacy (pitch-shifting). 4. Possibly inhaled. 5. Questionable identity. ................................................................... Questionable notes are any notes of questionable significance. In short, this spoiler acknowledges notes that I am aware exist, but do not want to contribute to the singer's range. These involve (but are not limited to) notes of questionable identity, notes of questionable legitimacy and notes of significantly poor quality.
Okay, so I think I have figured out the pitch of the cold hard cash demo. The highest note is actually a G5. Hear me out. There are two versions of this song on the internet right now - a live version dated 1984 and a demo, some say is 1983 some say 1984. The live version is undoubtedly in E standard in the key of Bm. This pitching sounds right for axl's voice and the guitars weren't detuned to Eb until 1986 so we know the guitars are definitely in E standard. Then we have the original posting of the demo 14 years ago. This is in the key of Bbm, which as I said, is not right when compared to the live version. Axl's voice sounds too low and the whole tape is slow. Another youtuber noticed this and left a comment on one of the reposts saying that the tape is too slow. So what they did was reposted it a year later but increased the speed by 3 semitones.to C#m.. This is 2 semitones too high when you compare it with the live version. This version was reposted 2 years ago by someone else and is the version I first came across and took it at face value. I have run both the live version and the demo through audacity and pitched the demo down to match the live version and it sounds bang on the money. This therefore means that the high note is a G5. Not a G#5 and not an A5 as I initially thought. I would love to hear what people think of this. Also, here are some new notes to add :)
