All right folks, I've decided to bring this back and, with the much-appreciated help of Bink , have compiled a list that should get us rolling here.
So first off, how do you measure a thread's size?
Well uh, you count how many notes there are. Some people like counting the quotation marks, some people like myself will add up how many times [, "] and [("] appear in a thread to get a grand total (occasionally it'll be [: "] instead of [("] so just keep that in mind). It's really up to you, but for the time being we'll be going with the latter formula since it generally gives us the cleanest result/amount of notes with a bit less workshopping needed. For the sake of simplicity, we'll just be including counted notes, i.e. not questionable notes. However, pre-pubescent notes can be added to a thread's note total in relevant cases.
So without further adieu, uhhhhh
Now, I want to clarify for everyone out there that ultimately, a thread's size is not what matters. The quality of the research is. However, hot diggity, isn't it wild to see how much research we've amassed even in this relatively small selection of threads? We've definitely come a long way as a forum and I think it's pretty cool to admire the effort and work ethic that must have gone into a bunch of these threads.
Now, bear in mind that this list is always going to change. Anything as simple as a note being added/deleted alters the results this list. Not to mention the inevitable Matt Farley heat death of the universe, brought on by yours truly. Furthermore, it is completely possible that we missed some threads. Let us know! So yeah, bring it on and let's see what we've got!
